
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our team at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL).
In this role, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving test systems to ensure the highest quality and reliability of our advanced power system protection products. You will lead a team of test engineers, work with automated test systems, analyze test data, and drive the quality and performance of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for new and existing products.
Lead and mentor a team of test engineers, providing guidance and support in test methodologies and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware design, test system design, data analysis, troubleshooting, and production.
Analyze test data to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality control measures.
Develop and maintain automated test systems and scripts to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test processes and product quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in manufacturing test engineering, with a strong background in test systems and equipment, electronic systems, and power systems protection products.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams of test engineers or test technicians.
Proficiency in automated testing tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong electronic knowledge and electrical analysis skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience with statistical analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., CpK analysis).
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Pay Range Data: $100,900-$168,100 per year
Our compensation ranges are based on the responsibilities of the role. Starting pay is determined individually and considers factors such as relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and training. Candidates may be considered at different levels based on their background. As a result, pay may vary to align with the level of the role.
