Role and Responsibilities
- Able to start and stop the production line according to protocol and set the required parameters.
- Keeps accurate records and notes on production sheets.
- Follow test procedures on finished goods and record results that this may include: melt flow, specific gravity, hardness (test stand and handheld), etc
- Operate forklift and hand trucks.
- Communicate with shift supervisor about processing problems and be able to troubleshoot and make necessary/permitted adjustments to fix them.
- Document and communicate adjustments according to protocol.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment.
- Assist Debagging and Packing operators when needed.
- Conduct training to manufacturing specialist and senior manufacturing support.
- Assist to conduct QC/QA tests including sample preparation.
- Follow up to put-away/release the finished goods and change the status (downgrade/update) in the system.[TT1.1]
- Stand in during supervisor’s absence.
- Complete any other assignment given by the Supervisor.
- Continuous improvement and lean initiatives:
(a) Be able to put forward with good ideas and effective suggestion on continuous improvement.
(b) Be a member of the continuous team and, actively participate in departmental or cross-functional improvement projects, to drive process improvements, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
(c) Be competent to implement effective corrective and preventive actions to address issues.
Education Qualification
• Minimum SPM passed English or 3 years’ experience in Polymer Extrusion
• Minimum N level or 3 years’ experience in Polymer Extrusion
Work Experience
• Require some years of relevant working experience.
Specific Knowledge
• Possess Forklift License
• Trained with 6-Sigma Yellow Belt
• Have a good understanding on Lean Basics, RCA and LSW
Language
• Able to read, speak and understand basic English
Others
• Strong Communication Skills
• Possess Forklift License
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 25kg
• Ability to perform duties under specific time requirements
• Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities
• Able to listen and speak clearly
• No color blindness, skin allergy
• Able to work rotating shift, overtime as assigned
• Able to work on weekend as assigned
• Ability to work in a dusty, hot and humid environment
