Joining the Hardware System Team as a Senior Manufacturing Operations Engineer means taking ownership of the production and operational excellence of Mujin controllers and pendants. You’ll ensure top-quality manufacturing with fast production cycles by working closely with suppliers, overseeing production activities, implementing robust quality systems, and managing inventory and process documentation.In addition to supporting manufacturing, you will serve as a key communication window between Mujin Japan, Mujin US, and Mujin Europe, providing technical support for finished products deployed across internal teams. This includes troubleshooting product issues reported post-deployment, coordinating cross-functional efforts to resolve them efficiently, and driving continuous improvement in both production and field support processes.This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to Mujin’s global growth while developing toward a future leadership role in production team. Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & ExecutionDevelop and manage production schedules to ensure timely provisioning and testing of hardware, maintaining high standards of quality and delivery. Process Development & TrainingCreate and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs). Train and support operators to ensure consistent and safe execution of manufacturing tasks.Inventory & Material ManagementOversee raw material procurement and inventory control to support uninterrupted production.Manufacturing Issue ResolutionIdentify and resolve manufacturing process issues, classify deviations, and make rework decisions to minimize production downtime.Internal Technical Support for Distributed ProductsTroubleshoot and resolve issues with finished products deployed to internal customers (e.g., Mujin US, Mujin Europe). Act as a technical point of contact for product-related claims, failures, or malfunctions post-deployment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Business-level English proficiency
  • Conversational-level Japanese
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer science, or similar engineering discipline
  • Experience with embedded system involved product (ECU, audio devices)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related engineering areas. (e.x. product engineering, manufacturing/production engineering, and operations, service operations, or supply management.)
  • Good understanding of Linux and experience using Linux.
  • Experience using git.
  • Experience of developing ERP system requirements or customizing ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Ability to create and review electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to understand C/C++, python code, and bash script.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard or equivalent.

Work Hours

8:45 - 17:45 (with a 60-minute break)

  • Based on experience and skills
