Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for Capital coordination for high pressure gasoline pumps and fuel injectors.

• Coordinate audit activities including preparation for, completion of, and closing of open points stemming from fixed asset audits.
• Plan upcoming releases by participating as manufacturing contact in planning meetings, coordinating required builds, and line preparation with department and MFE team.
• Facilitate RFQ process between MFE, internal purchasing, and machinery suppliers.
• Plan and execute capital equipment (MAE) acquisition (coordination of purchase order) including initial justification including total cost calculation, quotation, MAR process and calculating payback period.
• Manage cross-functional teams to align and approve equipment acquisition and retirement.
• Identify and lead projects to improve safety, cost, quality, delivery, and utilization of manufacturing processes in order to meet Policy Deployment objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and apply lean manufacturing principles (BPS) throughout the value stream with regards to equipment design, selection, layouts, and material flow.
• Perform additional assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering with 7+ years relevant experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP
• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly dynamic organization.
• Good interpersonal project management skills.
• Ability to clearly summarize and recommend alternative ideas addressing complex issues.
• Highly organized self-starter and use good judgment.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Technical detail-oriented.
• Active team player.
• Capital coordination experience preferred.
