We are seeking an experienced Senior Manual Tester to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance within financial systems, combined with a solid understanding of Mobile Testing, Agile methodologies, and cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform).
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex banking applications.
- Validate functional, integration, and regression test coverage across multiple releases and environments.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile ceremonies.
- Conduct defect triage meetings, ensuring issues are well-documented, prioritised, and tracked to closure.
- Test API integrations, data flows, and back-office banking processes to maintain data integrity and compliance.
- Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to test systems deployed on GCP.
- Apply testing strategies for certifying builds and ensure readiness for production deployments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence. Good API testing knowledge.
- Experience in testing mobile applications.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credentials.
- German speaker/reader — extra points.
- Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter).
- Experience in testing digital banking applications, core banking systems, or payment platforms.
