Job Description

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

The role holder will be responsible for driving efficient, safe, and high-performing warehouse operations, including inventory management and order fulfilment. The position requires a strong leader with proven expertise in managing large-scale warehouses, optimizing processes, and ensuring operational excellence through technology and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Lead end-to-end warehouse operations, ensuring seamless and efficient processes
  • Design and implement SOPs for receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of automotive spare parts
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to enhance productivity
  • Ensure timely and accurate order processing from receipt to dispatch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align operations with business requirements

2. Inventory Control & Optimization

  • Implement and sustain robust inventory control systems to track stock levels, accuracy, and turnover
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure data integrity
  • Monitor and control slow-moving and obsolete inventory
  • Drive initiatives to improve inventory accuracy and reduce obsolescence

3. People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop teams comprising on-roll and off-roll workforce
  • Set clear performance goals and conduct regular reviews
  • Build a high-performance culture through coaching and capability development
  • Ensure discipline, compliance, and adherence to organizational policies

4. Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with statutory and organizational health and safety standards
  • Conduct periodic safety audits and implement corrective/preventive actions
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement across teams

5. Technology & Automation

  • Drive implementation and effective utilization of WMS and related systems
  • Ensure operational efficiency through automation (e.g., conveyors, WCS, sorters)
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve productivity and accuracy

General Experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in the automotive spare parts industry
  • Proven experience in managing large, multi-location warehouses (minimum ~5 lakh sq. ft.)
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, WMS, and TMS
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large teams and driving operational excellence
