Job Description

Here at Humanoid, we believe in a future where robots amplify human potential. That’s why we’ve set out on a mission to build the world’s most capable, commercially-scalable, and safe humanoid robots. We’re bringing that mission to life with HMND‑01 - our rapidly developed humanoid platform being deployed in real industrial environments - and we’re growing the team to take it even further.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – WILP to build and lead Humanoid’s global Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics and Planning function across London, Boston and Vancouver. This is a hands-on build role in a fast-moving prototype and NPI environment, scaling towards production. The role reports to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Management.

What You'll Do

Strategy and leadership

  • Define the WILP strategy and roadmap, aligned with company strategy and the Senior Director, Supply Chain Management.
  • Build a lean operating model, governance, KPIs and cadence for warehouse, inventory, logistics and planning that works in a fast-changing NPI environment and scales as volumes grow.
  • Lead, coach and develop the WILP team across sites, building capability and hiring as the function grows.
  • Support the WILP teams across regional sites.
  • Set OKRs, KPIs, and performance expectations.
  • Foster a high‑performance, collaborative, curious and continuous‑improvement culture.
  • Decisive and data driven, able to make priority calls under pressure.
  • Confident communicator with customers and executives, keeps promises and raises risks early.
  • This role operates in a high‑complexity robotics supply chain with multi‑tier suppliers, long lead times, export controls and frequent engineering change.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory standards across all WILP operations.
  • Act as deputy for the Senior Director, Supply Chain Management when required.

Planning and order fulfilment

  • Build a pragmatic planning and scheduling process suited to NPI and prototype builds, evolving towards make to order, assemble to order and configure to order flows as volumes ramp.
  • Run daily and weekly tier meetings to manage exceptions, shortages, and expedites, ensuring clear root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Lead the available to promise process, including project slotting and allocations during shortages.
  • Ensure export compliance, documentation accuracy and clean handover to carriers and customs partners.
  • Be part of exploring and selecting MRP/ERP and planning systems: define requirements and a phased roadmap, while keeping planning effective on lightweight tools in the meantime.
  • Work with Demand and Production Planning, Material Planning and Engineering to keep build plans, material availability and change cycles aligned.

Warehouse and Inventory

  • Develop and maintain inventory management processes to optimise warehouse operations.
  • Oversee and execute inventory counts, reconciliation, and audits.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to meet customer demands and avoid overstock or shortages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory processes and accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.

Logistics & Supplier / Customer focus

  • Design a logistics model that supports today’s site-to-site and prototype flows and can scale to central and regional DCs and cross docks.
  • Select and manage 3PLs, carriers and freight forwarders with clear SLAs and regular performance reviews.
  • Implement transport management and consolidation rules that protect on-time delivery and cost.
  • Strong understanding of Incoterms and global trade compliance.
  • Good understanding of logistics processes across the Americas, UK, and Europe.
  • Ensure warehouse processes, inventory accuracy and cycle counting reach Group standards, using WMS capability as it is introduced.
  • Build fulfilment playbooks for customer deployments, including kitting, pre assembly and sequenced deliveries to site.
  • Create a proactive milestone tracking and communication model that gives customers crystal clear ETAs and risks.
  • Agree service levels by customer segment, including on-time in-full targets, lead time windows and communication rules, as customer volumes build.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience & Qualifications
  • Technical Skills
  • Behavioural Skills
  • 10+ years of direct Warehouse, Inventory, Logistics & Planning experience, ideally in manufacturing, robotics, technology, aero / defence, automotive or FMCG.
  • Demonstrable, hands-on experience across all four WILP areas: warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics and planning. Depth in only one or two is not sufficient; candidates must show a track record of delivering results in each.
  • Proven experience establishing or scaling direct WILP functions, hands-on and comfortable working in the detail.
  • Start-up or scale-up experience, building processes and teams from scratch in a fast-changing environment, is desirable.
  • Degree in Business, International Supply Chain & Procurement Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • CIPS (MCIPS) Level 5 or equivalent; APICS CPIM desirable.
  • Working knowledge of commercial terms and negotiation with logistics providers and carriers.
  • Awareness of export controls (including EAR) relevant to robotics and technology.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Slack, and database management.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP, WMS and analytics tools such as Power BI. Experience selecting and implementing MRP/ERP systems, and running planning effectively on spreadsheets and lightweight tools while systems mature, is a strong advantage.
  • Proven success serving project based or engineer to order customers.
  • Proven leadership of multi‑site or multi‑region operations and external logistics partners
  • Expert in S&OP, master scheduling, MRP and inventory optimisation.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and planning capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, engineering‑driven environment.
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities.
  • Professional, motivated, and able to operate autonomously and within teams.

What We Offer

  • Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
  • 30+ paid days off, including 23 days of annual leave, all UK bank holidays, and additional company closure days (including Christmas–New Year shutdown).
  • Private healthcare, including virtual and in-person care.
  • Pension scheme with 8% total contribution (5% employee, 3% employer) on full earnings.
  • Free daily breakfast, catered lunch, and snacks in-office.
  • Work at the frontier - collaborate daily with world-class engineers, researchers, and product experts building the next generation of AI and humanoid robotics.
  • Real ownership - direct access to founding leadership, meaningful input on product direction, and the ability to drive key initiatives from day one.
Humanoid

About Humanoid

In a world where artificial intelligence opens up new horizons, our faith in its potential unveils a new outlook where, together, humans and machines build a new future filled with knowledge, inspiration, and incredible discoveries.

The development of a functional humanoid robot underpins an era of abundance and well-being where poverty will disappear, and people will be able to choose what they want to do.

We can imagine millions of bipedal robots doing more work than all human labour does today freeing people from the servitude of some repetitive and boring tasks that nobody likes to perform.

We believe that we have enough abundance to take care of everyone who is displaced. Eventually, providing a universal basic income will lead to the true evolution of our civilization.

Labor shortages loom, as the demands on our built environment rise. With the world’s workforce increasingly moving away from undesirable tasks, the manufacturing, construction, and logistics industries critical to our daily lives are left exposed.

By deploying our general-purpose humanoid robots in environments deemed hazardous or monotonous, we envision a future where human well-being is safeguarded while closing the gaps in critical global labour needs.
