Leads enterprise change and transformation initiatives with a focus on AI adoption, delivery modernization, and organizational readiness. Responsible for assessing and mitigating transformation risks, driving stakeholder engagement and adoption, enabling new ways of working, measuring value realization, and ensuring sustainable business outcomes through effective change management, governance, and risk practices.

Drives change and transformation management strategies, plans, and activities from initiation through implementation and sustainment to achieve desired business outcomes and realize transformational value. Engages leaders, stakeholders, delivery teams, and impacted audiences to build understanding, readiness, and adoption of strategic change initiatives, including AI-enabled solutions, new ways of working, and delivery transformation programs.

Understands the interconnected business dimensions impacted by transformation (people, process, technology, data, products, channels, governance, and risk), and proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates associated change and transformation risks.

Drives overall business results by ensuring change is understood, embraced, adopted, and sustained at scale while enabling business agility, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Analyzes the scope and complexity of change and transformation initiatives to determine impacts across people, process, technology, operations, financials, governance, risk, and customer outcomes.

  • Breaks down strategic problems and transformation challenges, analyzing data and insights to identify opportunities, risks, dependencies, and recommendations.

  • Provides advice and guidance to business and delivery teams on the implementation of change, AI adoption, and delivery transformation initiatives; evaluates organizational readiness and change capacity to develop effective transformation plans.

  • Applies change management methodologies, transformation frameworks, and delivery management practices to plan, organize, and execute change initiatives of varying size and complexity.

  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to incorporate business context into the design, implementation, and adoption of transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams and functions.

  • Develops change and transformation strategies that enable leaders to champion organizational change, foster adoption, and build commitment to new ways of working.

  • Leads communication, engagement, training, and adoption strategies that drive awareness, understanding, and sustained behavior change across impacted audiences.

  • Identifies resistance, adoption barriers, and transformation risks, developing mitigation plans through targeted communications, training, coaching, and stakeholder engagement activities.

  • Establishes and monitors adoption, readiness, and value realization metrics to measure transformation effectiveness, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions where required.

  • Supports AI and delivery transformation initiatives by assessing organizational impacts, managing associated change risks, enabling responsible adoption practices, and ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance requirements, and enterprise standards.

  • Partners with business, technology, and risk stakeholders to identify and manage transformation-related risks, dependencies, and organizational impacts, ensuring effective controls and mitigation strategies are implemented.

  • Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, learning, and adaptability by embedding sustainable change capabilities and transformation practices across the organization.

  • Takes measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of the role, ensuring transformation, AI adoption, and delivery modernization initiatives are implemented in line with our Risk Culture, approved Risk Appetite, applicable policies, standards, procedures, regulatory requirements, and sound risk-informed decision making.

  • Applies Agile delivery expertise and change management principles to enable Agile, AI, and delivery transformation initiatives, driving adoption of new ways of working, supporting team and leadership readiness, managing transformation risks, and embedding sustainable practices that improve speed, adaptability, and value delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Typically 10+ years of relevant experience in delivery and organization change management via major transformation initiatives.

  • Post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Science and Asset

  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience and banking industry knowledge.

  • Advanced AI use and AI transformation familiarity an asset.

  • Agile Expertise a strong asset

  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth / Expert.

Salary

$94,600.00 - $176,000.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
