At a glance:

As our Senior Manager Training & Capability APAC, you will lead the development of capability, learning, and competency frameworks across the Asia Pacific region. Based in Australia, this strategic role partners with business and operational leaders to build workforce capability, drive organisational performance, and support operational excellence.

This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a regional capability function from the ground up. With high levels of autonomy, direct exposure to senior leaders, and the ability to drive meaningful change quickly, you'll have a significant impact on capability strategy and workforce development across APAC.

Your Impact:

• Lead the APAC training and capability strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and workforce requirements.
• Design and implement capability frameworks, competency models, and development pathways across the region.
• Drive workforce capability uplift initiatives that improve operational performance and employee effectiveness.
• Establish governance, assurance, and competency verification frameworks to support business risk and compliance requirements.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify capability gaps and develop targeted learning solutions.
• Ensure training programs align with operational, safety, and quality standards across multiple business functions.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning, capability development, and performance improvement throughout the organisation.

What makes you a great fit?​

• Extensive experience leading Learning & Development, Training, or Capability functions within complex operational environments such as logistics, automation, engineering, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Demonstrated experience designing capability frameworks, workforce development strategies, and competency-based programs.
• Strong understanding of competency assurance, assessment, verification, and governance frameworks.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change across diverse business environments.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in learning, education, human resources, organisational development, business, engineering, or a related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
