Senior Manager – IT First Line Risk & Resilience

We’re looking for a Senior Manager – IT First Line Risk & Resilience to lead the day‑to‑day execution of First Line Risk activities across our Retirement Solutions IT business. This is a high‑impact leadership role where you’ll embed a strong risk culture, strengthen operational resilience, and partner closely with technology and risk leaders to reduce IT risk and improve client outcomes.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead and embed First Line Risk across IT, championing a “risk as a mindset” culture aligned to the Client First Operating Model and the 3 Lines of Defence.
• Partner with IT and business leaders to identify, assess and manage operational and technology risks within risk appetite, driving meaningful risk reduction initiatives.
• Provide oversight of IT governance, controls and compliance, including CPS230, internal policies, audit requirements and client contractual obligations.
• Drive consistent risk-in-change, BAU risk management, risk event management and remediation practices across IT functions.
• Lead IT operational resilience activities, ensuring preparedness for disruption and continuity of critical services.
• Oversee GRC processes, risk registers, reporting and assurance activities, working closely with Line 2 and Line 3 Risk teams.
• Lead, coach and develop a small team of IT Risk professionals, building capability, engagement and high performance.

What we’re looking for:

• Significant experience leading IT operational risk, resilience or compliance within financial services or superannuation environments.
• Strong working knowledge of risk frameworks, internal controls, audit and regulatory obligations, including technology risk.
• Demonstrated ability to uplift risk capability and embed consistent practices across complex operational and technology teams.
• Proven stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge and collaborate at senior levels.
• Tertiary qualifications in business, risk or a related discipline, with a strong risk mindset and commitment to values‑led leadership.
