Job Description

This is an opportunity to lead a team of technology procurement professionals and act as a business partner and advisor to Transport

In this role you'll

  • Lead a team to deliver high quality contract and commercial management services that contribute to the overall effectiveness of the technology procurement function.
  • Develop, implement and maintain technology category strategies and plans to deliver sustainable social outcomes, value for money and to meet organisational needs.
  • Act as a strategic Business Partner to develop innovative supply strategies, lead high-level negotiations and manage contracts to deliver value for money outcomes.
  • Work with the Legal function to manage disputes in a timely manner.
  • Proactively identify, manage and advise on risks (including cyber, modern slavery and AI) associated with contracts, to enable the organisation to attain maximum value from the contract while meeting compliance requirements.
  • Ensure effective administration of all procurement process outcomes, and oversee compliance with all procurement policies, processes and procedures and governance frameworks.
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to strengthen knowledge, skills, and capability within the team, while fostering a culture that lifts organisational capability and supports long-term performance

About you

You're an excellent problem solver who can think on your feet. You are an experienced people leader with experience in technology procurement within a large, complex, or public or private sector environment. You know how to deliver value for money outcomes, with knowledge of NSW Government procurement frameworks, contract management policies and governance requirements an advantage. You have excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build partnerships to achieve strategic procurement objectives.
