Currently, the organisation manages multiple program verticals across its educational and skill-building initiatives. The internal team includes MIS Executives who handle day-to-day data entry and routine operations, but rely on external software vendors and consultants for frontend, backend, database support, API-connected dashboard integrations, server management, and Business Intelligence tooling.

The Senior Manager – Technology will bridge this gap by building in-house technical capacity, taking ownership of the technology roadmap, and serving as the primary point of accountability for MIS performance across the organization.

  • Build internal team capacity to understand, manage, and utilize dashboards, reporting tools, and MIS platforms effectively.
  • Foster a collaborative, tech-forward culture across program teams.

Vendor & Consultant Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact for external tech consultants on strategic planning and infrastructure improvements.
  • Coordinate with external software vendors for system development, feature enhancements, timeline adherence, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee vendor deliverables, service level agreements (SLAs), and technology contracts.

Dashboard Management & Technical Troubleshooting

  • Design, prepare, and maintain operational and executive dashboards for management visibility and strategic decision-making.
  • Actively troubleshoot complex MIS challenges, including server errors, data integration issues across API connections, and system bugs.
  • Coordinate bug-fixing efforts and ensure high data integrity across all platforms.

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in technology or MIS leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in managing technology infrastructure, dashboard platforms, data workflows, and vendor relationships.
  • Prior experience in the non-profit, social impact, or education sector is a strong advantage.

Desired Skills & Competencies

  • Technology & Data: Strategic understanding of integrated MIS systems, data platforms, business intelligence (BI) tools, cost-effective tech solutions, and automation frameworks.
  • Dashboarding: Hands-on expertise in developing, maintaining, and interpreting complex data dashboards.
  • Communication: Ability to bridge technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and drive user adoption across diverse teams.
  • Analytical & Operational Mindset: Ability to optimize systems and leverage data to drive operational efficiency and executive decision-making.

Personal Attributes

  • Strategic, analytical, and structured thinker.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Passionate about leveraging technology to drive social impact.
  • Openness to traveling locally and working flexible hours when required.

Terms & Operational Guidelines

  • Working Days: Monday to Saturday with 2nd and 4th Saturday off.

Professional Support & Mentorship

As part of a three-year technology enhancement program, the selected candidate will receive ongoing mentorship and guidance from a dedicated Technology Consultant. This includes onboarding support, regular review sessions, strategic advice on technology architecture, and shared best practices to build long-term technology leadership within the organization.
