General Description:

The Senior Manager, Tax Technology Solutions is a critical role within GTS Finance Technology, responsible for the strategy, delivery, and ongoing support of tax‑related technology solutions across BeOne’s global footprint.

This role serves as the primary bridge between Tax, Finance, and Technology, ensuring that tax processes are effectively enabled through systems, data, and automation while meeting global regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements. The role owns and enhances tax capabilities across core ERP platforms and best‑of‑breed tax solutions, supporting indirect tax, direct tax, tax provisioning, statutory reporting, and tax data transparency

The ideal candidate brings strong hands‑on tax systems experience, a deep understanding of tax processes, and the ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives from intake through implementation and operational support.

The Senior Manager, Tax Technology Solutions is expected to:

  • Partner with Global Tax leadership to define and execute the tax technology roadmap

  • Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and improve tax processes through technology and data

  • Act as solution owner for designated tax platforms and capabilities

  • Ensure tax solutions align with enterprise architecture, data governance, and audit standards

Essential Functions of the Job:

As a Tax Technology Senior Manager, you will work across global tax processes and enterprise systems to deliver scalable, compliant solutions. You will:

  • Own tax technology solutions across their full lifecycle: intake, design, build, test, deploy, and sustain

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Tax, Finance, GTS, and external vendors

  • Develop and maintain a tax technology roadmap aligned to business priorities and regulatory change

  • Lead discussions and solution design related to:

    • Indirect tax (VAT, GST, sales & use tax)

    • Direct tax and tax provisioning

    • Statutory reporting and compliance

    • Tax data sourcing, transformation, and controls

  • Provide hands‑on expertise with ERP tax configuration and tax determination logic (e.g., tax codes, jurisdiction rules)

  • Support and govern integrations between ERP, tax engines, reporting tools, and data platforms

  • Lead functional design, fit‑gap analysis, and requirements definition for tax initiatives

  • Ensure compliance with audit, SOX, and internal control requirements across all supported applications

  • Manage vendor relationships, delivery quality, and prioritization of tax initiatives

  • Oversee testing activities including UAT, regression testing, and validation of tax calculations

  • Develop user documentation, training materials, and change communications

  • Monitor operational performance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement opportunities

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Partnering with Tax and Finance stakeholders on prioritization and solution design

  • Leading or supporting implementations driven by new tax regulations or business changes

  • Analyzing and documenting current‑state tax processes and data flows

  • Designing and testing future‑state tax processes and system capabilities

  • Supporting tax audits and regulatory inquiries with system and data insights

  • Managing multiple initiatives in parallel across regions and tax domains

This role provides deep exposure to global tax operations and Finance Technology, enabling meaningful impact at scale.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a technical, ERP, or consulting environment

  • 7+ years of experience with systems integrations and implementations

  • 7+ years of experience across the systems development lifecycle (design, build, test, deploy, support)

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field

Preferred Skills:

  • 7+ years of tax domain experience

  • 7+ years of experience supporting indirect and/or direct tax processes in global environments

  • Experience with tax technology and reporting tools such as Vertex, ONESOURCE, Meredian, SAP Tax, SAP DRC, Alteryx, Power BI

  • Strong understanding of ERP tax configuration and Finance integration

  • Experience working with tax data, analytics, and automation

  • Full systems lifecycle experience (requirements through deployment)

  • Prior consulting or client service delivery experience preferred

  • Project management experience a plus

  • Strong technical writing, documentation, and testing leadership skills

  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Visio
