We're looking for a Senior Manager, Tax Operations to support domestic and international tax projects, transfer pricing, and tax planning for the organization, reporting to the Director, Tax Operations. In this role, you'll support transfer pricing documentation and defense, assist with tax due diligence and structuring, and help manage audit responses across federal, state, and foreign jurisdictions. You'll also contribute to tax modeling and planning initiatives, support credits and incentives work, and partner closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Treasury. This role suits a technically strong tax professional looking to deepen their experience across M&A, transfer pricing, and audit defense while working closely with senior tax leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Support tax due diligence, structuring, and modeling for internal reorganizations and M&A transactions, including purchase agreement review, entity structuring analysis, and integration planning.
  • Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation, including intercompany agreements, benchmarking studies, and contemporaneous documentation to support global compliance requirements.
  • Support audit responses across federal, state, and foreign jurisdictions, including preparing responses to information requests and assisting with defense strategy under the direction of the Director.
  • Research and analyze domestic and foreign tax technical matters, including the tax implications of international operations and structuring.
  • Support tax planning and modeling, including scenario analysis of the company's effective tax rate, cash tax position, and the impact of legislative or structural changes.
  • Support the company's credits and incentives strategy, including identifying and documenting opportunities such as R&D credits and other applicable federal, state, and foreign incentives.
  • Monitor global tax legislative and regulatory developments, including Pillar Two and other international tax reform, and help assess their impact on the company.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams — including Accounting, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Treasury — at various levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors on M&A, transfer pricing, and audit matters.
  • Support SOX internal controls over tax planning, transfer pricing, and audit processes.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives, leveraging tax technology to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support ad hoc tax projects as priorities arise.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or a related field required; Master's in Taxation or J.D./LL.M. a plus.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally including time at a Big 4 accounting firm as well as in-house industry experience.
  • High-tech industry experience in California required.
  • Hands-on experience supporting M&A tax due diligence or structuring.
  • Experience with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements.
  • Experience supporting federal, state, or foreign tax audits and controversy matters.
  • Working knowledge of international tax law, transfer pricing principles, and U.S. federal and state income tax law.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.
  • Experience with OneSource tax software preferred.
  • Strong tax research skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and clearly communicate conclusions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This position is also eligible to participate in Solidigm's restricted stock unit (RSU), restricted cash unit (RCU), and cash bonus programs. The compensation range for this role is $132880 - $212700. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
