Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition Operations

Location: San Jose, CA
Reporting to: VP, Head of Talent Acquisition

Lumentum is seeking a strategic and operationally strong Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition Operations to build and lead the infrastructure that powers a scalable, data-driven, and technology-enabled Talent Acquisition function.

This role will architect and optimize recruiting operations globally to improve recruiter efficiency, enhance candidate experience, enable workforce planning rigor, and reduce delivery risk as the company scales. Reporting to the VP, Head of TA, this leader will play a critical role in transforming TA to a predictable, performance-driven talent engine powered by modern technology and AI.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiter Productivity & Capacity Optimization

  • Design and implement standardized recruiting workflows and governance models.
  • Reduce administrative burden through automation, intelligent workflows, and system optimization.
  • Deliver measurable productivity gains (targeting recruiter efficiency lift equating to incremental hiring capacity).
  • Establish optimized workflow and manager operational excellence within the recruiting team.

TA Technology Stack Strategy & Optimization

  • Own and optimize the end-to-end TA technology ecosystem (ATS, CRM, sourcing platforms, interview tools, analytics platforms, automation tools).
  • Evaluate, implement, and continuously refine best-in-class recruiting technologies aligned to business needs.
  • Ensure systems integration, data integrity, and seamless user experience across platforms.
  • Partner with HR operations to lead vendor selection and ROI measurement for TA technologies.
  • Establish a multi-year TA tech roadmap aligned to growth strategy.

AI Enablement & Intelligent Automation

  • Embed AI-driven tools and automation throughout the recruiting lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, scheduling, analytics, and reporting.
  • Leverage AI to enhance candidate matching, reduce time-to-fill, and improve pipeline quality.
  • Implement AI-powered insights to enable predictive hiring and capacity planning.
  • Ensure responsible and compliant use of AI technologies in alignment with legal and ethical standards.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement through emerging technologies.

Data & Workforce Planning Enablement

  • Build advanced recruiting dashboards and performance reporting frameworks.
  • Enable real-time visibility into funnel metrics, hiring velocity, cost-of-hire, and source effectiveness.
  • Partner with HR and Finance to support strategic workforce planning and demand forecasting.
  • Drive predictive analytics to increase hiring predictability and scalability.

Candidate Experience & Brand Consistency

  • Standardize candidate journey touchpoints across regions and role levels.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality executive and early-career candidate experiences.
  • Implement feedback loops and quality control metrics.
  • Strengthen employer brand through operational excellence and technology-enabled engagement.

Scalable Infrastructure & Risk Mitigation

  • Build scalable TA operational infrastructure to support multi-year growth plans.
  • Reduce agency reliance through improved internal capacity through technology leverage.
  • Introduce process controls and compliance governance to reduce delivery risk.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • 15+ years in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Operations, HR Operations, or related function.
  • 3+ years leading TA Operations, HR technology, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Proven experience optimizing ATS and recruiting technology ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing automation and AI-enabled tools.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking capability.
  • Experience scaling recruiting functions in high-growth technical environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or additional years of experience in lieu

Pay Range:

P80-USA-1 :$145,550.00 - $207,900.00
