The Director of Supplier Management – Marketing is responsible for supporting the strategic management, performance, and governance of marketing suppliers, agencies, and external partners. This role directly supports the Marketing Leadership Team in driving supplier optimization, contract management, cost efficiency, innovation, and operational efficiencies across all marketing supplier relationships. Additionally, this role collaborates closely with a cross-functional set of stakeholders, including Procurement, Finance, Legal, Risk and Operations teams to ensure suppliers deliver high-quality services and measurable business value, as well as partnering on new marketplace opportunities in alignment with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Strategy & Relationship Management

  • Partner with the Marketing Leadership team to:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier management strategy for marketing vendors and agencies.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key marketing suppliers, including creative agencies, media partners, production vendors, digital marketing providers, research firms, and technology vendors.

    • Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, and strategic fit to support evolving business needs.

    • Establish sustainable governance models to optimize vendor engagements.

Performance & Operational Excellence

  • Partner with the Marketing Leadership team to:

    • Evolve supplier KPIs, scorecards, and performance review processes.

    • Establish and evolve regular business reviews with suppliers to monitor service levels, campaign effectiveness, delivery timelines, and quality standards.

    • Identify and execute against supply chain process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and operational efficiencies.

    • Serve as an escalation point on supplier performance issues and holding suppliers accountable for corrective action plans when necessary.

Contract & Financial Management

  • Partner across the Supplier Management, Business, and Legal teams to drive supplier selection, contract negotiations, renewals, and compliance.

  • Ensure contract compliance, risk mitigation, and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives and competitive RFPs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Marketing leadership to align supplier capabilities with brand, campaign, and business objectives.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders regarding supplier strategy in alignment with business objectives.

  • Support supplier related transformation initiatives related to marketing operations

Required Qualifications

  • 4-year degree focused on Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or Supplier Management

  • 8+ years of experience in supplier management, procurement, marketing operations, or agency management.

  • Strong knowledge of marketing services procurement and vendor ecosystems.

  • Proven experience negotiating complex contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical, financial, and project management skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with marketing agencies, media buying, digital marketing platforms, or martech suppliers.

  • Knowledge of procurement systems, supplier governance frameworks, and performance management methodologies.

Annual Salary

$115,825.00 - $189,625.00

The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
