Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) manages CBA’s relationships with major corporate, government and institutional clients, delivering market-leading transactional banking, capital raising and risk management solutions.

Corporate & Institutional Transaction Banking (CITB) is one of the Group’s largest growth opportunities, with a clear ambition to become Australia’s #1 CITB provider. The Customer Transformation & AI team is a high-performing team that works closely with senior leaders to shape and deliver this agenda. As Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation, you’ll play a pivotal role in turning strategy into action.

Do work that matters

As Senior Manager, Strategy & Transformation, you will lead CITB’s strategy and transformation agenda end-to-end — shaping direction, influencing executive decision-making and driving delivery of strategic priorities.

Working as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, you’ll translate growth ambitions into clear plans, mobilise complex initiatives and help embed AI-enabled ways of working across the business. You’ll also support broader Institutional Transaction Banking (ITB) and Customer Transformation & AI priorities, helping accelerate the bank’s AI agenda.

What you'll do

• Develop and evolve CITB’s growth strategy, enhancing market position, client outcomes and financial performance.

• Lead strategic initiatives from design through execution, ensuring outcomes, benefits and dependencies are effectively managed.

• Apply structured, data-driven thinking to critical business challenges and opportunities.

• Partner with executive stakeholders, providing clear recommendations and shaping key business decisions.

• Support strategic AI initiatives and champion AI-enabled ways of working across the team and broader business.

• Lead cross-functional stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

We're interested in hearing from people who have

• Significant experience in strategy, transformation or management consulting environments.

• A proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through execution.

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including credibility with executive audiences.

• Strong commercial acumen, ideally gained within banking, transaction banking, institutional banking or financial services.

• A keen interest in AI and its application to strategy, transformation and decision-making.

• A proactive, curious mindset and the ability to thrive in ambiguous, high-impact environments.

• Tertiary qualifications in Business or a related discipline.
