This is an opportunity to lead a critical statutory and sustainability reporting function, shaping high‑quality outcomes that support strong governance, regulatory confidence, and long‑term member outcomes.


The role

The key focus of this role is to lead the delivery of high‑quality statutory, sustainability and regulatory financial reporting across the Fund, Trustee and service entities. You will be accountable for technical accounting leadership, robust reporting policies and the integrity of the general ledger, while leading and developing a high‑performing team. You will work closely with senior finance leaders, auditors and regulators to deliver accurate, timely and compliant outcomes.

  • Lead statutory financial reporting in line with Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements
  • Drive accurate, timely month‑end and year‑end close processes with strong governance
  • Lead the implementation of new accounting and sustainability reporting standards
  • Own and maintain finance policies, technical accounting positions and interpretations
  • Lead sustainability and climate‑related financial reporting under ASSB requirements
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals to deliver consistent outcomes

About you

You bring deep technical accounting expertise and enjoy leading teams through complex reporting and regulatory environments. You balance strong attention to detail with strategic thinking and are confident partnering with senior stakeholders. You are motivated by delivering high‑quality outcomes and building capable, engaged teams.

  • CA or CPA qualification is essential
  • Extensive finance experience, ideally from a Big 4 professional services background
  • Experience in superannuation, investment accounting or financial services
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams with clear accountability
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at senior levels
