Why this is important to Visa

The Sr. Manager, Solution Architect plays a critical role in bridging Visa's product capabilities with the evolving needs of digital ecosystem partners across Greater China. While Visa’s local and global product teams focus on individual product components within product portfolios, this role and its dedicated team are uniquely positioned to deliver end-to-end, client-centric solutions architecture that integrate Visa’s core product components with client-specific applications, real-world use cases and agentic commerce use cases. By acting as the technical anchor for strategic tech collaborations, this role strengthens Visa’s technical reputation among top regional digital partners, drives targeted adoption of Visa’s product suite, and directly underpins the achievement of Visa’s 2030 growth and diversification goals in Mainland China.

Projects you will be a part of:

As part of Visa's Tech Partnerships team, you will work at the intersection of AI, digital commerce and strategic technology partnerships, helping shape how consumers and businesses interact with payments in the next decade. You will collaborate directly with some of Greater China's most innovative technology companies, AI-native startups, digital platforms and foundation model providers to design and deliver next-generation commerce experiences powered by Visa's global payment network.

Key areas of focus may include:

  • Exploring emerging technologies and identifying opportunities to leverage AI, agentic systems and digital commerce innovations to create differentiated value for Visa and its partners.
  • Designing and prototyping Agentic Commerce experiences that enable AI agents to discover, recommend, purchase and manage transactions on behalf of users.
  • Building innovative solutions that combine Visa's payment capabilities with cutting-edge AI technologies, foundation models and emerging digital ecosystems.
  • Working alongside Tech partners’ product managers, architects and engineering leaders to whiteboard and develop end-to-end solution architectures for strategic partner engagements.

  • This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of one of the most significant technology shifts in decades. You will have the opportunity to work with industry-leading partners, experiment with emerging AI technologies, influence real-world commerce experiences, and help shape the future of agentic payments and digital commerce at global scale.

Unlike many architecture roles that focus primarily on internal systems, this position combines deep technical problem solving, customer engagement, innovation and partnership development, allowing you to create solutions that can impact millions of consumers and businesses across the region and beyond.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
