Senior Manager – Front End Engineering (Angular/React, Microfrontend Architecture)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Front End Engineering to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern web applications using Angular or React with Microfrontend architecture This role will be responsible for managing front-end engineering teams, driving technical strategy, improving development standards, and delivering scalable, high-performance user experiences.

The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, deep expertise in front-end technologies, and hands-on experience in building enterprise-grade applications using reusable components, distributed front-end systems, and modern engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage front-end engineering teams to deliver high-quality web applications.
  • Define and drive front-end architecture strategy using Angular or React and Microfrontend architecture
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX designers, and backend teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Build and promote reusable UI components, shared libraries, and design standards across teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of modular, independently deployable front-end applications.
  • Ensure best practices in coding, testing, security, performance optimization, and accessibility.
  • Guide teams in CI/CD implementation, release management, and DevOps integration for front-end applications.
  • Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and mentor engineering managers, team leads, and developers.
  • Drive engineering excellence through agile methodologies, performance metrics, and continuous improvement.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, team development, and capability building within the front-end organization.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritize roadmap items and ensure on-time delivery of projects.
  • Stay updated on emerging front-end technologies and recommend improvements aligned with business goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with strong focus on front-end engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering leadership or people management roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular and/or React
  • Proven experience designing and implementing Microfrontend architecture in enterprise applications.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with component-driven development and modern front-end build tools.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, API integration, authentication, and web security best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning, browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Module Federation, Webpack, or similar tools for Microfrontend implementation.
  • Experience with Node.js, Next.js, or server-side rendering frameworks.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, Selenium, or similar tools.
  • Exposure to design systems and enterprise UI governance.
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams.
