The opportunity
Shipping is one of the biggest friction points for people selling online. In Australia, eBay is tackling that challenge.
We are scaling new shipping solutions that give sellers more choice, better value and simpler ways to manage delivery. This role will help shape the partnerships and commercial models behind that next phase.
As Senior Manager, Shipping Solutions, you will work across partner management, commercial strategy, product development, operations and go to market planning to create shipping services that are easier for sellers to use and stronger for eBay to scale.
What you will do
Lead strategic shipping partnerships for eBay Australia.
Strengthen existing partner relationships and identify new opportunities across the delivery ecosystem.
Develop commercial models that support better seller outcomes, service quality and long term growth.
Work with Product, Operations and Finance teams to turn partner opportunities into scalable shipping services.
Use data to understand seller needs, service performance, adoption and market opportunities.
Shape go to market plans for new and improved shipping services.
Represent Australia in global shipping discussions.
What you will bring
Experience in partnerships, commercial strategy, logistics, delivery, ecommerce, marketplaces, retail technology or a related field.
Experience managing senior external relationships, commercial agreements or new service launches.
Strong commercial judgement across pricing, margins, incentives and trade offs.
Ability to move between strategy and execution across multiple workstreams.
Confidence working with senior leaders, product teams, operational teams and external partners.
A practical style, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to create structure quickly.
Experience with shipping, delivery networks, ecommerce logistics or marketplace services would be valuable.
What success looks like
In the first few months, this role will develop a clear view of priority partner opportunities and create a practical roadmap for improving eBay Australia’s shipping proposition.
Over the first year, this role will help launch and improve shipping services, strengthen key partnerships and create stronger commercial options for sellers.
Longer term, this work will help make shipping easier, more reliable and more cost effective for Australian sellers.
