The Role Senior Manager, Cyber Fusion Operations

The Team You will be Senior Manager in S&P Global’s Cyber Fusion Center within the Information Security department. As a Senior Manager, you will play a critical role in leading and shaping our organization's cybersecurity efforts by overseeing the operations of the Cyber Fusion Center, ensuring the detection, response, and mitigation of cyber threats across our digital landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the MSSP, building a strong and collaborative partnership to ensure the delivery of high-quality security services.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the MSSP's services. Ensure the MSSP's activities align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and our internal policies.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and executive leadership, to ensure a cohesive approach to security operations and MSSP governance. Provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders regarding the state of security operations, incidents, and the performance of the MSSP.
  • Continuously assess the effectiveness of the MSSP's services and internal security operations, identifying opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Cyber Fusion Center, aligning it with the overall information security goals and business objectives. Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the monitoring of security alerts and events, ensuring timely identification and escalation of potential threats and incidents.
  • Drive the development and enhancement of playbooks, procedures, and workflows for effective incident response and recovery.

What We’re Looking For

  • 7 years+ of relevant experience in Cyber Security operations & governance in Managerial role.
  • Knowledge in operating centralized log analysis tools – Splunk, EDR Platforms etc
  • Broad knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft Security products, Identity Management, network security, endpoint security, cloud security, vulnerability management, security incident response and malware.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Cloud security is a must.
  • Understanding of cyber security and IT disciplines including networking, operating systems, authentication protocols, general enterprise network architecture, and security incident response.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate and interact effectively with users that do not have a security background and be a security spokesperson throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors or master’s in computers, IT or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record to work with MSSPs in global set-up.
  • At least one of the Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+
  • Security certification in Cloud security technologies like AWS and/or Azure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to be proactive in keeping yourself updated with security news/issues/breaches/tools/blogs on the internet.
  • Hands-on experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and related security technologies.
  • Ability to evaluate, interpret, and apply technical and business requirements to MSSP services effectively.
