The Role:

At Medcan, the Senior Manager, Sales and Clinic Operations plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing ourRefineclinic operations, while also serving as a critical business partner in shaping the future growth and transformation of theRefine productThis leader collaborates closely with crossfunctional teams to drive initiatives that elevate the client experience, strengthen clinical and operational workflows, and ensure service excellence.

Reporting to theGeneral Manager, York and Refine, this roleprovides strategic and operational leadership across diverse clinical and non-clinical teams, ensuring smooth daytoday performance, a culture of continuous quality improvement, and adherence to evidencebased practices and legislative requirements.

The Senior Manager is also instrumental in supportingMedcan’s ambitious multisite growth, expansion, and product transformation efforts. This role is tailored for a seasoned operational leader with exceptional business acumen, strong analytical capabilities, and a proventrack recordof driving operational excellence within complex clinical environments. Emphasis ontransformationreadiness, futureproofing strategies, and the adoption of AI and automation to enhance efficiency and scalability is essential.

WhatYou’llDo:

Operational Management

  • Lead and mentor theRefineteam, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and accountability.

  • Provide guidance and support to ensure teams meet performance targets andobjectives

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical operations, including cross-functional stakeholder alignment with Dermatologists andsales teams.

  • Ensure all clinical operationscomply withrelevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

  • Oversee resource allocation, including staffing levels, budget management, and procurement of necessary equipment and supplies.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics tomonitorthe performance of clinical operations.

  • Identifypotential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of clients and staff.

  • Supporttraining and professional development opportunities for clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.

  • Provide supportwithin the range of hours that the business is open (currentlyMonday to Saturday6:30am to 7:00 pm)

Business Management

  • Presentbusiness review(monthly reporting, annual planning) toassessbusiness,create anddeliveragainstactionplansto support client,teamandfinancial performance of business

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders at Medcan to introducenew ideasand solutions to improve theRefinebrand-valueand experience

  • Develop and implementnew processes andmodelsinRefineoperationsthat align withMedcan’ strategies and future-proof membership ops

  • Identifyopportunities to realize efficiencies and/or elevate the client experienceleveragingautomation,AIor existing technologies

  • Use forecasts and projections to plan future fiscal year impacts onbudgetsandresources

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business, or relevant experience

  • 5 years of experience in clinical operations managementand/orcosmeticdermatologyindustryexperience

  • Experience inmedical and aesthetic dermatology, as an asset

  • Track recordof successfulpeople management andchangemanagementexpertise

  • Proven leadership, coaching, mentoring, andteam development skills

  • Demonstratedanalytical and problem-solvingand negotiation skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficiencywith MS Officesuite

This role is based in-clinic at Refine, located at 150 York St. Work shifts vary depending on business needs, but primarily M-F 8am-5pm (40 hours/week).

Position Pay Range

$85,122.00 - $117,042.75 CAD annually

Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives. ​
