The annual salary range for this position is $80,000 to $125,000, based on the candidate's direct and relevant experience.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Sr Manager, Revenue Cycle Operations to join our team. As a Sr Manager, Revenue Cycle Operations, you will be responsible for managing operational processes and teams across their functional area in revenue cycle management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(60%) Revenue Cycle Operations Management

  1. Manage functional RCM teams in one or more of the following areas, Payment Applications, Customer Service, A/R Management, Denials Management, Denials Prevention, Credentialing, Coding, Payor Reimbursement, or other defined RCM functions
  2. Execute the overall strategies and processes across areas of responsibility to ensure they properly support the volume of work efforts required to achieve team performance targets and expectations
  3. Analyze trends within RCM and company metrics to drive internal prioritization and process opportunities while coordinating with the other RCM leaders to identify collective areas of opportunity to improve RCM performance
  4. Create best practices for all processes associated within the areas of responsibility and ensure all processes are sustained
  5. Review productivity levels and quality assurance scores monthly and identify ways to provide support or enhancements to improve processes
  6. Serve as an escalation resource as needed to solve key RCM issues
  7. Manage vendor relationships and performance across their functional areas while ensuring proper quality and output expectations are met and evaluating proper vendor scope opportunities
  8. Collaborate with other RCM functional leaders and market leaders on problem resolution and process improvements related to areas of responsibility
  9. Coordinate with partner billing agents, when applicable, to ensure controls are in place and activities are monitored such that revenue is properly collected, reported and remitted to the company on a timely and compliant basis
  10. Collaborate with IT, other RCM leaders, and user groups on system design and workflow set-up throughout the requirements planning phase, including coordination of the user testing, to ensure all systems are properly maintained and configured to meet processing requirements
  11. RCM product system management; act as a subject matter expert and partners with stakeholder and strategic technology partners to maintain high-level knowledge of application, workflows and operational needs
  12. Maintain process documentation and collaborate with the leadership of each functional area to ensure team members are properly trained
(35%) Leadership Duties
  1. Demonstrate strong leadership skills and abilities, remaining approachable and objective
  2. Manage all hiring and retention processes, responsible for initial and ongoing training of new & existing team members
  3. Initiate and participate in team member performance evaluations, compensation, and development, and conduct performance improvement plans, disciplinary actions, and/or up to termination if necessary
  4. Facilitate and lead regular team meetings and team member one-on-one (1:1) meetings with each direct report team member and ensure your direct report leaders are doing the same.
  5. Mentor and support team members, encouraging a culture of collaboration, compensation & HR systems excellence, accountability, and continuous learning and improvement
  6. Determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths
  7. Define, direct, and monitor job and strategic priorities of direct reports and their teams
  8. Implement strategies to promote teamwork within teams and across departments
  9. Provide ongoing and timely communication to management and team members regarding operational performance of teams
(5%) Other Duties and Projects as Assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  1. High School Diploma, or equivalent
  2. Associate degree, or equivalent in relevant and applicable experience
  3. Five (5) years' experience leading a team of direct reports in revenue cycle management
  4. Experience with performance dashboards, analytics and auditing

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Experience working with NextGen billing system
  3. Experience overseeing revenue cycle performance across multi-state, multi-payor organizations
  4. Experience designing revenue cycle processes and overseeing related software and systems
  5. Experience designing health care billing software or product management experience
  6. Experience in working with clinical & administrative, healthcare data
