Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Sr. Manager, Regulatory Compliance Oversight, you will lead and advance Vancity’s Regulatory Compliance Management and advisory capability across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the compliance framework, ensuring regulatory requirements are translated into clear, practical expectations for business stakeholders. You will provide senior advisory support on new initiatives, regulatory change, and material compliance risks, while strengthening first-line ownership and compliance maturity. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative leader with deep regulatory expertise, strong advisory capabilities, and the ability to influence across complex environments.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the Director, Regulatory Compliance While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Regulatory Compliance Management framework
  • Overseeing the interpretation and assessment of regulatory requirements and translating them into practical business expectations
  • Providing senior advisory support on regulatory compliance matters, including new products, initiatives, and material change events
  • Directing compliance applicability assessments, risk assessments, and obligation mapping activities
  • Partnering with business units and enterprise teams to support first-line compliance ownership and risk management
  • Preparing and delivering clear and insightful reporting on compliance risks, framework effectiveness, and advisory outcomes
  • Coaching and developing team members and advisory specialists to build capability and ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Driving continuous improvement, innovation, and consistency across compliance practices

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, audit, or a related discipline within financial services
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing compliance frameworks or programs
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, risk management practices, and governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to provide senior-level advisory support and influence decision-making across stakeholders
  • Experience leading teams and developing talent in a complex organizational environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Professional designation such as CPA, CAMS, CRCM, or similar
  • Experience supporting regulatory change initiatives or large transformation programs
  • Familiarity with financial institution regulatory environments and emerging compliance trends

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $122,400 to $158,400 per annum The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
