Position Summary:

Leads the Regional Security program for Latin America, with primary focus on protecting Emerson employees, travelers, visitors, executives, assets, and business operations. The role is responsible for planning, implementing, improving, and governing security programs across the region, including crisis management, travel risk management, incident response, executive protection, workplace violence prevention, security intelligence, vendor governance, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Emerson Global Security standards.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead the Regional Security strategy and daily security operations for Latin America, ensuring alignment with Emerson Global Security policies, standards, and business priorities.
  • Protect Emerson employees, travelers, visitors, executives, assets, and operations through proactive risk identification, mitigation planning, incident response, and continuous improvement of security programs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and communicate regional security risks, emerging threats, geopolitical developments, crime trends, civil unrest, natural hazards, and other events that may impact employees, travelers, sites, or business continuity.
  • Lead regional crisis management and incident response for security events, including workplace violence, threats, extortion, civil unrest, executive travel concerns, medical/security emergencies, and other critical incidents.Manage and continuously improve the regional travel risk management program, including traveler support, escalation protocols, high-risk travel reviews, pre-travel guidance, and coordination with global travel security providers and travel agency resources.
  • Coordinate executive protection planning and security support for senior leadership visits, high-risk travel, special events, and other activities requiring enhanced security oversight.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, EHS, Communications, Facilities, IT, and business leaders on workplace violence prevention, employee safety concerns, investigations, threat management, and sensitive security matters.
  • Support internal investigations and maintain effective liaison relationships with law enforcement, government entities, industry groups, professional associations, intelligence sources, and trusted security networks.
  • Manage the regional security contact network, including third-party security providers, consultants, protective services, intelligence vendors, and local response partners; escalate performance, quality, compliance, or service issues as required.
  • Provide written reports, verbal briefings, incident updates, executive summaries, after-action reviews, and recommendations to Global Security leadership, regional business leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure crisis management, incident response, site security, and travel security procedures are current, tested, understood, and effective across the region.
  • Drive security program governance through KPIs, dashboards, work plans, corrective actions, lessons learned, and evidence-based performance tracking.
  • Support the development, implementation, and improvement of digital security tools, reporting platforms, mobile applications, automation capabilities, and AI-enabled opportunities that improve employee safety and reduce administrative workload.
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional security team members and security points of contact, ensuring clear accountability, project execution, stakeholder engagement, and professional growth.
  • Manage the regional security budget, vendor costs, service quality, and resource allocation to support operational requirements and business priorities.
  • Maintain participation in relevant security organizations, forums, industry groups, and country councils to strengthen intelligence, benchmarking, and professional networks.
  • Identify and advance strategic improvement opportunities and perform other responsibilities as assigned by Global Security leadership.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in corporate security, regional security management, law enforcement, military, intelligence, crisis management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience leading security operations across multiple countries, preferably within Latin America or other complex operating environments.
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience, required.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Strong experience in crisis management, incident response, threat assessment, travel risk management, workplace violence prevention, executive protection, investigations support, and site security programs.
  • Ability to interpret regional security intelligence, assess risk, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate timely recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage security vendors, consultants, contracts, budgets, service performance, and compliance expectations.
  • Experience developing reports, executive briefings, incident summaries, after-action reviews, KPIs, dashboards, and evidence-based program updates.
  • Comfortable working with senior management, cross-functional stakeholders, regional teams, and external partners in sensitive, time-critical, and high-pressure situations.
  • High standards of professional responsibility, judgment, confidentiality, personal integrity, cultural awareness, and operational discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce concise, executive-level communications.
  • Excellent oral and written English and Spanish language skills required; Portuguese language capability desirable.
  • Ability to travel 25%+ as required to support regional security operations, site engagement, executive travel, incident response, and stakeholder relationships.
