In this role, you'll:


work within the People, Communication and Workplaces Division, as part of the Transport Shared Services Branch.

You’ll lead a team (6) , champion continuous improvement and stay ahead of emerging trends — strengthening consistency, capability and governance maturity across the cluster. You'll lead the governance of records and information across Transport, ensuring records are managed effectively throughout their lifecycle. You’ll shape and maintain governance frameworks, policies and guidance that support compliance, transparency and proactive risk management.

You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to embed good recordkeeping practices, meet obligations under the State Records Act and align governance with broader digital, data and organisational priorities. You’ll also ensure our disposal program, sentencing accuracy and robust assurance processes.

Most importantly, you’ll bring strategic leadership across the enterprise — guiding clear, consistent records governance and uplifting capability across Transport.

This role is based in Burwood, with travel to other offices (Macquarie Park and Paramatta) and flexible hybrid work options to support balance and productivity .

About you


You’re someone who brings deep experience in records and information governance, with a strong understanding of standards, regulatory requirements and contemporary information management practices. You’re confident translating governance concepts into practical, business‑focused solutions and influencing senior stakeholders across a complex organisation.

You communicate with clarity, collaborate naturally, and enjoy helping teams understand the “why” behind good recordkeeping. You’re also a capable people leader — someone who builds capability, leads through change and drives consistency across the organisation.Above all, you’re curious, proactive and future‑focused, with a genuine interest in strengthening governance, risk awareness and enterprise‑wide compliance.
