About the opportunity

The Senior Manager, Real Estate leads the planning and execution of the organization’s national healthcare real estate portfolio, providing end-to-end oversight of project delivery and lease and transaction management. Operating at both a strategic and executional level, this role sets direction, establishes standards, and leads teams responsible for projects and lease administration to deliver real estate solutions that support operational excellence, patient and customer experience, and long-term business objectives. As a key business partner to Head Office corporate teams, the Senior Manager translates enterprise priorities into actionable real estate programs.

Salary range: $96,800-$137,100

Portfolio Leadership & Team Development (30%)

  • Lead a national healthcare real estate portfolio aligned to business strategy and growth plans
  • Manage and develop project management and lease administration teams with clear goals and accountability
  • Set delivery standards, governance, and escalation processes across all initiatives
  • Balance regional priorities, timelines, capital constraints, and stakeholder needs

Project Delivery Oversight (20%)

  • Oversee a national pipeline of new builds, renovations, relocations, and space optimizations
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to clinical and operational requirements
  • Review risks, schedules, budgets, and changes; provide direction and escalation as needed
  • Ensure smooth transition from construction to occupancy

Lease & Transaction Management (30%)

  • Oversee all lease transactions, including new deals, renewals, amendments, and terminations
  • Lead negotiations with landlords, brokers, and legal counsel to achieve strong commercial outcomes
  • Partner with Finance on occupancy costs, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Drive portfolio optimization, cost savings, and risk mitigation
  • Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and governance compliance

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement (20%)

  • Serve as a trusted real estate advisor to executive leadership
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, Marketing, HR, and Clinical teams
  • Oversee external brokers, contractors, and consultants
  • Leverage market relationships to drive value and insight

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in commercial real estate, healthcare or retail portfolio management, and project delivery
  • Demonstrated leadership of national, multi-site real estate programs
  • Strong lease negotiation and financial acumen
  • Experience leading national, multi-site portfolios
  • Experience in regulated or operationally sensitive environments (e.g., healthcare)
  • PMP designation considered an asset
  • Fluency in French (written and verbal) required
