Senior Manager, R&D - Communication at a glance...

You will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy for North America Research & Development. You will serve as a trusted advisor to R&D leadership, translating strategy, innovation, and performance into narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. You will bring structure, rigor, and creativity to R&D communication, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities while showcasing the people, capabilities, and impact of R&D.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive R&D communication strategy aligned to R&D transformation agenda, enterprise priorities, and corporate brand standards.

  • Serve as the primary communications advisor to R&D leadership, providing counsel on messaging, positioning, and engagement approaches.

  • Lead all forms of communications routines, including written, visual, presentations, digital channels, and collaboration tools, for enterprise-wide and key functional needs.

  • Translate complex technical and scientific topics into clear, audience appropriate narratives for employees, senior leaders, and enterprise partners.

  • Create and steward a strong R&D brand identity consistent with corporate branding that strengthens R&D’s reputation and innovation agenda.

  • Ensure R&D communications consistently reflect enterprise tone, voice, and messaging standards.

  • Develop and disseminate internal content that brings R&D’s strategy, innovation pipeline, people, capabilities, and results to life. Own and continuously improve internal R&D communications platforms to share best practices, training, transformation journey, and wins.

  • Establish communications planning rhythms, standards, and templates that enable consistency, efficiency, and scalability.

  • I have 7+ years working in corporate or enterprise communications roles with demonstrated success supporting senior leaders in a matrixed environment.

  • I have demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective communication strategies, in a technical or innovation-driven environment.

  • I have a proven ability to translate complex technical content into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences at all levels of an organization.

  • I have the ability to influence stakeholders across R&D and cross-functional partners to drive alignment, adoption, and execution of strategic initiatives.

  • I have excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building credibility with senior and functional stakeholders.

  • I have strong presentation, organizational, strategic, and critical thinking skills.

  • I have excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including exceptional attention to detail and editorial judgement.

  • I am comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast paced environments with a solution-oriented approach.

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$120,800.00 - $151,000.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
