Are you able to redefine ways of working and take ownership of Quality and testing across IOT products to ensure highest standards on the market?

Would you like to set the overall test strategy and quality release process redefining workflows by integrating AI to enhance efficiency and speed while maintaining quality and security standards?

This unique role carries global responsibility for quality and release engineering team across all digital solutions, including mobile apps, cloud services, connectivity, hardware, firmware. You own E2E test strategy to secure common tooling and development of frameworks across our four teams.

We offer:

An exciting role, where you will lead a skilled team across locations in DK and BRNO owning E2E test strategy and build up of tools and frameworks based relevant standards and std. toolchains. You will work closely with initiatives to secure deployment on release mgt. process securing functionality, safety, and compliance before release. E2E accountable with in Digital solutions towards Quality departments and service, and own Market failure rate, and secure continues learning and improvements are initiated.

A key focus is improving MFR and securing security and compliance by increasing and automating test coverage, securing well defined review and release process.
Secure timely releases and with minimal post release challenges. You define test tools and process and guidelines for release management across teams, secure compliance documentation. You also develop and maintain an internal ecosystem that enables CI/CD, testing, simulation developer and engineering experience.

Responsibilities & impact:

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Digital Solutions, you will lead a team of testers, release managers and test technology specialists. You will define and govern Quality and release process and toolchain and own the KPIs.

Key tasks will include:

• Set vision and lead development and execution of test strategies for software, hardware IOT

• Define quality and release standards and best practices enforce global quality release governance, oversee release pipelines, version control, and update processes (etc ISO 29119-3)

• Ensure products meet safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance standards and secure compliance documentation/evidence for relevant regulations by planning and overseeing test execution across projects.

• Collaborate with architecture, app/cloud, connectivity, and hardware/firmware teams, as well as rest of Quality and Product approval and verification departments to deploy process and roadmaps improving Quality.

• Enable continues root cause analysis from return products with TPE, Service & Quality and secure future platform is built on AI and predictive maintenance for fast OTA updates

• Enhance test efficiency and coverage via data driven analytics and forecasting and quality metrics to support decision making. (MFR, System/product test Coverage, Release lead time, First time yield pass, Automation coverage, etc.)

• Mentor and develop quality assurance and release engineering talent and deployment of process across value stream teams, accountable for sing off and release decisions.

• Take a role of local BRNO facility and employee handling across Denmark and Czech Republic

Who we are looking for:

You are an experienced leader with strong system engineering credentials and workflow transformational skills and the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
You hold a master’s degree in software quality IOT, Computer Science or embedded software engineering, combined with extensive knowledge in quality assurance and V model approach, posses and applied knowledge with AI workflow optimization in IOT/Embedded environment.
A supplementary business or innovation management qualification is an advantage.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in quality assurance and release management with in IoT, embedded, physical, product development environments. (BLE, Thread, Matter, Wifi)
  • Strong experience in V-Model and agile development approaches or ISTQB Test Manager (Advanced Level) certification.
  • Solid experience with test management tools such as Github, Zephyr, Snyk, Blackduck, Testim, Codium AI, Dynatrace, copilot for test etc.
  • Experience with compliance documentation and evidence handling (i.e. CE, Machine directive, RF/EMC, RED, CRA Data Act. Etc), and use of SAST,SCA,DAST.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and process discipline skills
  • Business proficiency in English is a must and ability to communicate to senior management
  • Are comfortable building and transforming workflows
  • Have a leadership style that is analytical, visual, collaborative, and pragmatic
