The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Project Delivery, will play a pivotal role in our quest for excellence, steering pivotal projects to align with the Future Fund’s vision, championing resource management, guide top-tier talent, and foster a culture of continuous improvement—all while ensuring project governance and stakeholder engagement are top-notch.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with business areas across the Agency, providing a trusted capability that enables efficient delivery of programs and projects
Actively support Program Managers, Project Managers, Change Managers and Business Analysts to efficiently deliver project outcomes that are aligned to the Agency’s strategy
Maintain a strong understanding of project resource demand across the portfolio and manage resource capacity and allocation to ensure projects are well supported
Induct and embed new project resources into the Agency’s project and change management culture and provide coaching and guidance across the delivery team
Work closely with the PMO to develop, maintain and continuously improve the Agency’s project management framework, principles, tools and templates and ensure these are applied consistency across the portfolio of projects
Champion the Projects Community of Practice to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and capability uplift
Lead quality assurance activities across projects and programs
Develop performance measures and benchmarks to identify strengths, risks and improvement opportunities
Define and execute a clear strategy for the Project Delivery team aligned to organisational priorities
Where required provide hands on delivery support to programs and projects
About You
Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Management, Law or a related discipline
Formal training in project and portfolio management methodologies
Proven experience overseeing large, complex programs and portfolios
Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing project delivery teams
Experience operating within medium sized or complex organisational environments
Strong partnership approach when working with internal business areas and external suppliers
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build credibility across the organisation
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to meet competing deadlines
High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and simply to diverse audiences
Proven capability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships effectively
Comfortable working in fast paced, evolving environments with minimal supervision
Strong commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
Consultative and collaborative approach to delivering outcomes
