We're looking for a Senior Manager, Professional Practices to play a pivotal role in advancing audit excellence across the Group. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of Internal Audit, strengthen audit quality and help embed leading practice within one of Australia's largest and most complex organisations.

Your impact

Reporting to the Head of Professional Practices, you'll help shape the evolution of audit methodology, quality assurance and innovation across GA&A. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll drive continuous improvement, enhance assurance practices and support the function's ongoing transformation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving enhancements to Internal Audit methodology and practices
  • Conducting quality reviews and conformance assessments
  • Embedding innovative approaches through the use of AI, data and analytics
  • Monitoring emerging risks, industry developments and regulatory expectations
  • Preparing insights and reporting for Executive Leadership and Board stakeholders
  • Building capability and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the audit function

We're interested in hearing from people who have

  • Deep expertise in Internal Audit Standards, audit methodologies and regulatory expectations within financial services.
  • Experience leveraging emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence and data analytics, to enhance assurance outcomes.
  • A curious and forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to balance compliance requirements with pragmatic, value-focused solutions.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
  • A proven track record of driving innovation, influencing change and delivering strategic outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, with the ability to engage, influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate insights into meaningful business outcomes.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
  • CA, CPA, CIA, CISA, CRMA or an equivalent professional qualification.
