Caterpillar is seeking a Senior Manager Production to provide senior leadership for production operations at our Griffin Engine Packaging Plant. This role serves as a key production leader responsible for overseeing genset and power module manufacturing operations in a fast-paced, high-velocity production environment.
As the leader of a team consisting of seven direct-report supervisors and multiple indirect reports, you will drive operational performance across safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives while creating an environment focused on employee development and operational excellence.
This position offers the opportunity to lead large-scale power systems production operations, overseeing products ranging from approximately 400 kVA to 4 MW. The successful candidate will champion a safety-first culture, support lean manufacturing initiatives, and provide leadership for day-to-day operational execution and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities include:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Production Training: Extensive knowledge of approaches, tools and techniques for delivering formal and informal training on the safe and efficient operation of production machinery; ability to conduct effective formal and situation-specific training.
Problem Solving: Extensive knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations
Influencing: Extensive knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
Flexibility and Adaptability: Extensive knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change.
Performance Management: Extensive knowledge of successful performance management techniques; ability to apply organization's performance management system, practices, and tools to developing and improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
Analytical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
Planning and Organizing: Extensive knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
Effective Communications: Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Leadership & People Management: Extensive understanding of the techniques and skills needed to lead in the production environment; with the demonstrated ability to develop talent using performance management techniques
Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
