We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Production to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kielfacility.

Whatyou willdo

• Overseetheday-to-dayoperationsofallshiftsofoneormoremanufacturingproductionareas

• Directstaffing,development, andperformancemanagementprogramsforoperationsstaff

• Manage,motivateanddevelopaproductionmanagementteam

• Lead withhigh standardsand accountability

• Overseeoperationsactivities,ensuringthatsafety,productionschedulesandperformancerequirementsaremetandresourcesareusedeffectively

• Take full accountability for Quality withinproduction and execute feedbackloopto causal partiestodrive RootCauseCorrectiveActions 

• Monitoroveralloperationsperformanceandimplementproductionsafety,cost, andqualitycontrolmechanisms

• Leadproductionreporting andmonitor/ auditproductionmetrics

• Ensurecompliancewithallregulatoryguidelinesandcreatea safe andsoundmanufacturingenvironment

• Partner effectively with functional peers in Supply Chain, EHS & HR to meet operational goals.

Skills you must have

• Manufacturing Operations Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.

• Manufacturing SafetyExpertiseinmanufacturing safety; ability toidentifywork-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers,environmentand site.

• Analytical ThinkingUnderstandingoftechniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability todeterminethe root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

• InfluencingKnowledge ofeffectiveinfluencingtacticsandstrategies;abilitytoimpactdecisionswithinand outside ownorganization

• ProblemSolvingFamiliaritywithapproaches,tools,techniquesforrecognizing,anticipating, andresolvingorganizational, operationalorprocessproblems;abilitytoapplyknowledgeofproblemsolvingappropriatelytodiversesituations

• Process Improvement Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability tomaintainfocus on the continuous improvement of processes,productsand services.

• Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent experiencedesired

• Very goodGerman (at least C1) andvery goodEnglish skills (at least B2).

We are back! This role requires being in the office five days a week.
