Job Description

INTRODUCTION

At Burberry, we believe creativity opens spaces. Our purpose is to unlock the power of imagination to push boundaries and open new possibilities for our people, our customers and our communities. This is the core belief that has guided Burberry since it was founded in 1856 and is central to how we operate as a company today.

We aim to provide an environment for creative minds from different backgrounds to thrive, bringing a wide range of skills and experiences to everything we do. As a purposeful, values-driven brand, we are committed to being a force for good in the world as well, creating the next generation of sustainable luxury for customers, driving industry change and championing our communities.

JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Product Manager owns a defined product domain and is accountable for its vision, roadmap, priorities and outcomes. The role works directly with customers, business stakeholders, UX, Product Analysts and Engineering to identify opportunities, shape solutions, make trade-offs and continuously improve the product.

This is not a strategy-only role. The Senior Product Manager remains actively involved throughout discovery, definition, delivery and optimisation, while the Product Analyst provides the detailed analysis, requirements, backlog readiness and business acceptance capability needed to support execution.

Please note we are hiring x3 Senior Manager, Product - covering areas: Fulfilment, Commerce, Web Experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Direction & Prioritisation

  • Define and continuously evolve the product vision, strategy and outcome-led roadmap for the assigned domain.
  • Translate Burberry brand, customer and commercial priorities into clear product outcomes and measurable priorities.
  • Own prioritisation across strategic, optimisation, compliance and run initiatives, making clear start, stop, defer and sequencing decisions based on value, evidence, risk and capacity.
  • Develop and sponsor business and value cases, defining expected benefits, success measures and investment trade-offs.
  • Partner with Engineering & Delivery on roadmap sequencing, feasibility, dependencies and capacity constraints.

Discovery, Experimentation & Optimisation

  • Lead product discovery with UX and Product Analysts, actively participating in customer research, journey reviews, workshops and problem definition.
  • Use customer research, behavioural analytics, product performance and business insight to identify and validate opportunities before significant investment.
  • Define the problem, desired outcome, hypothesis and success measures for priority initiatives.
  • Lead experimentation and optimisation priorities, deciding what to test and why, and working with UX and the Product Analyst to use results to determine whether to scale, iterate or stop.

Performance, Delivery & Value

  • Own product KPIs, OKRs and performance reviews, continuously evolving priorities based on evidence and value realisation rather than feature completion alone.
  • Remain actively involved through refinement and delivery, providing timely product decisions, resolving trade- offs and ensuring work remains aligned to intended customer and business outcomes.
  • Be accountable for business acceptance of delivered solutions, with the Product Analyst leading detailed UAT planning, coordination and validation.
  • Partner with Engineering & Delivery leadership to understand technical feasibility, architecture implications, delivery sequencing, risks and capacity, ensuring these inform product prioritisation and business trade-off decisions.
  • Support release readiness and adoption, capturing delivery learning, customer feedback and performance outcomes to inform future priorities.

Leadership, Partnership & Product Culture

  • Lead and develop the Product Analyst, setting clear priorities and maintaining strong product management practices across the domain.
  • Partner closely with the Senior UX Manager and UX Designers to ensure customer insight and experience design shape decisions from discovery through optimisation.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior business stakeholders, aligning teams around customer and business outcomes rather than individual requests.
  • Lead product planning, roadmap reviews, discovery workshops, prioritisation sessions and product showcases, remaining visible and hands-on in key product forums.
  • Champion a transparent, collaborative and evidence-led product culture by actively socialising product

direction, progress, customer insight, experimentation learnings, performance and outcomes across Product, UX, Engineering and the wider business.

PERSONAL PROFILE

  • Significant experience managing complex digital or omnichannel products within a product-led organisation.
  • Proven ability to combine product strategy with hands-on discovery, prioritisation, delivery decision-making and continuous optimisation.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability, using customer research, behavioural data and product analytics to inform decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Demonstrable experience developing business cases, prioritising competing opportunities and measuring value realisation.
  • Experience leading experimentation and continuous improvement across digital customer journeys.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership, stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with experience working alongside UX, Product Analysis, Engineering, Architecture and Delivery.

KEY DELIVERABLES

  • Product vision, strategy and outcome-led roadmap
  • Prioritised opportunities, investment and sequencing decisions
  • Business/value cases and investment recommendations
  • Product OKRs, KPIs, success measures and performance reviews
  • Discovery briefs, problem statements, hypotheses and experiment priorities
  • Quarterly business reviews, Business & IT Steercos, roadmap reviews, product showcases and value realisation updates

About Burberry

Born from innovation, Burberry is a global luxury brand with a rich British heritage.

Founded in 1856, our brand is underpinned by our founder’s passion for the outdoors. Thomas Burberry invented the innovative rain-ready fabric gabardine to protect explorers from the elements. In doing so, he created the foundation for the iconic Burberry trench coat, which remains core to the business even today.

Guided by our history of exploration and our shared belief that ‘creativity opens spaces’, our purpose is to unlock the power of imagination to push boundaries and open new possibilities for our people, our customers and our communities.

As a values-driven brand, we are committed to creating the next generation of sustainable luxury and believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to fulfilling our purpose. Fostering an inclusive culture where differences are valued and embraced enables us to be more creative, engaged and make a more meaningful contribution to the world around us.
