Job Description

You set the direction for cyber services that protect critical transport systems and make it easier for people to engage with cyber.

You lead the strategy, design and delivery of customer-centred cyber services that are clear, scalable and aligned to business priorities.

In this role, you'll:

Lead the strategy, design and governance of cyber security products and services across Transport for NSW, ensuring the portfolio is clear, customer-centred, scalable and aligned to business priorities.

Shape the Cyber Front Door and cyber service catalogue, making it easier for customers and stakeholders to understand, access and engage with cyber services.

Drive service lifecycle management, capacity planning, performance insights and continuous improvement to support investment, prioritisation and operational decision-making.

Work across cyber, technology, architecture and business teams to ensure services deliver measurable value, improve customer experience and support effective cyber risk management.

Oversee the end-to-end cyber service lifecycle, including service introduction, enhancement, refresh and decommissioning, while driving service performance, capacity planning, utilisation and continuous improvement.

About you

You’re a strategic and customer-focused leader with extensive experience managing complex technology or cyber service portfolios in large organisations. You bring a strong understanding of service management, with a proven ability to translate business needs into effective, value-driven service outcomes.

You thrive in complex environments, enjoy shaping future-focused services, and are passionate about improving customer experiences through effective service design, governance and delivery. You combine strategic thinking with practical execution and are motivated by the opportunity to influence outcomes across a large and diverse organisation.

You will demonstrate experience in:

• Leading cyber security service portfolios, including service lifecycle management, service catalogues, customer journeys, capacity planning, optimisation, and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of cyber security products, services, and associated technology, architecture, operational, and business dependencies.
• Leading cyber security service portfolios within government, critical infrastructure, or other highly regulated environments.
• Establishing or managing enterprise service catalogues or customer-facing service management functions.
• Delivering service transformation, operating model uplift, or organisational change initiatives.
• Developing executive dashboards, service performance reporting, and data-driven investment recommendations.
• Understanding of NSW Government or public sector governance, procurement, and financial management practices (desirable).
• Professional certifications in ITIL, COBIT, SIAM, TOGAF, eSCM, Agile Product Management, or related disciplines.
