Job Description

The Senior Manager, Procurement Systems is responsible for providing overall governance and oversight of procurement systems, not limited to BirchStreet. This role ensures the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of procurement systems to drive efficiency, compliance, and cost savings across the organization.

The role also leads and develops a team of managers, ensuring system deployment initiatives are executed on schedule and aligned with business objectives. Through close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Senior Manager ensures procurement processes are standardized, optimized, and delivering measurable value.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

  • Provide governance and strategic oversight of the procurement system across all properties
  • Ensure the stability, performance, and continuous enhancement of procurement systems
  • Lead, coach, and oversee two Managers to ensure effective execution of system-related initiatives
  • Drive and monitor the successful deployment of procurement systems, ensuring timelines and milestones are met
  • Strengthen procurement compliance, standardization, and adoption of approved suppliers
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors (e.g., BirchStreet) to ensure service delivery meets contractual and operational expectations
  • Leverage system data and analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve purchasing efficiencies
  • Develop and enhance reporting to support decision-making at both property and corporate levels
  • Continuously assess system capabilities and recommend improvements aligned with business needs

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Key talents and Experience

  • Prior experience in various levels of the hotel finance organization including purchasing, accounts payable, and general ledger management, and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Proficiency with property procurement applications in Birchstreet System is essential
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently; strong time management skills
  • Strong analytical and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal and leadership skills; able to collaborate effectively with others in various disciplines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical business partners and the ability to influence both peers and senior leaders in the organization
  • Comfort with large amounts of complex data from multiple sources coupled with the ability to see linkages and relationships within and between sources.
  • Detail-orientation with the ability to consistently deliver error-free work products
  • Translation of analytical results into clear insights that executives can understand
  • Direct experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of development and execution of a project lifecycle
  • Knowledge and experience in data analysis, process analysis, and facilitation techniques are highly desired
  • Experience in managing and or participating as a team member in the implementation of a large business initiative preferred
  • Adaptable to fast paced work environment with new and changing responsibilities
  • Self-starter with strong tendency toward pro-active process improvement
  • Adept at managing change, comfortable with abruptly-created deadlines, and equipped with the ability to lead through influence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Prefered:

  • Finance experience within a hospitality company
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English
