Job Description

Transport for NSW is embarking on a bold Procurement Transformation Program. We’re establishing a dedicated, centralised Procurement branch within our Finance, Technology & Commercial Division.

This is a rare opportunity to contribute to shaping the future of procurement in NSW. As we implement a new procurement operating model, you’ll be at the forefront of driving reform and innovation across all procurement functions at Transport for NSW, one of the largest procuring agencies in the country.

We have 7x Senior Manager roles on offer across Minor Construction, Goods & Services and Technology procurement portfolios. We’re looking for a self-motivated, outcomes focussed, independent leaders who thrive on a challenge!

In these roles you’ll:

  • Lead a team with a focus on business partnering, cultural change, fostering high performance and supporting transformation across procurement functions.
  • Provide strategic procurement partnering, planning and sourcing expertise, ensuring value for money and alignment with NSW Government procurement frameworks.
  • Strengthen ethical governance and embed professional integrity in all procurement, sourcing and category management activities.
  • Drive innovative procurement strategies, influence key stakeholders and lead complex negotiations to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes.
  • Build capability across teams through coaching, development and contemporary procurement practice uplift, ensuring readiness for evolving organisational needs.

These are ongoing Transport Senior Service Manager (TSSM) role. Roles are based at multiple locations - Macquarie Park, Parramatta and Burwood. Please see the and Information Pack for more information.

About you


You are an experienced people leader with a strong track record in end‑to‑end strategic procurement, contract delivery and stakeholder partnering. Skilled in sourcing, category management and navigating complex or government environments, you bring clarity, resilience and commercial insight to high‑stakes work.

You lead with confidence and integrity, guiding teams through organisational change while uplifting culture, capability and performance. Ethical practice is central to your approach, you model transparency, uphold governance requirements and build trust through consistent, values‑driven leadership.

A natural collaborator and influential communicator, you navigate high‑value, high‑risk procurement challenges and shape positive outcomes across diverse stakeholders. With relevant qualifications or equivalent experience, you’re committed to delivering public value, strengthening governance and driving meaningful reform.
