Manager Procurement requires an in-depth understanding of procurement concepts, theories, and principles and basic knowledge of other related disciplines. The Manager of Procurement must be able to apply an understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness, provide guidance, and influence processes and policies for the procurement discipline as well as identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems that impact effectiveness. The Manager Procurement impacts the level of service and the Procurement Team’s ability to meet quality and timeliness objectives. Decisions made by the Manager Procurement should be guided by policies, resource requirements, budgets, and the business plan.
