This role serves as the manager of the Wealth Management Pricing & Product Support team. This team handles the development, pricing and product support of all Wealth Management (WM) products for both CLIC and CUMIS individual and group clients with the exception of Mutual Funds). This work directly impacts the financial position of the company. The role works closely with Distribution, Operations and Client Services in support of these products.

How you will create impact:

  • Develop, analyze and maintain pricing models and pricing assumptions, utilizing sensitivity & competitive analyses to assess the impact of price on profitability
  • Ensure Pricing Reports are completed and filed after each pricing exercise is completed
  • Analyze Wealth Management financial statements and reports, as well as changes within the industry and marketplace for implications to pricing, profitability and operations
  • Monitor industry trends and benchmarks to stay current with the marketplace and understand the competitive environment through research and competitive comparisons
  • Assess and work on group annuity quotes and understand the competitive landscape within the pension risk transfer business. Support the implementation process including contracting, client notifications and data reconciliation. Maintain a working relationship with pension consultants
  • Understand and stay up to date with Pension Regulations and their impact on Wealth products
  • Support internal departments with actuarial expertise on Wealth Management products
  • Manage staff workload, oversee work completion and quality, provide guidance and support while ensuring a positive and respectful work environment
  • Manage performance by ensuring understanding of job and performance expectations, facilitating empowerment, encouraging accountability and providing appropriate rewards and recognition

To join our team:

  • You are a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) designation
  • You have at least 5 years of related progressive experience in this or a similar role. People Leader experience will be an asset
  • You are proficient with GGY AXIS software and Microsoft Office
  • You have a strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
  • You have excellent organizational and time management skills
  • You have general management skills including finance, planning, budgeting, scheduling, people management and service delivery
  • Experience in Wealth products and Investment knowledge will be an asset

Expected salary range $114,021 - $164,021+

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.​​

Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.
