The Senior Portfolio Marketing Leader is a senior commercial marketing leader responsible for driving the business performance, commercial strategy, and growth of CONMED's Advanced Surgical portfolio.

This highly strategic and commercially focused leader will leverage customer insights, clinical evidence, market dynamics, and business performance data to develop and execute growth strategies that strengthen market position and accelerate adoption. As a key commercial leader within Advanced Surgical, this role influences portfolio strategy, market development, and growth initiatives across the organization. The role is responsible for portfolio strategy, brand positioning, and commercial marketing.

A critical component of this role is partnering closely with Sales leadership and the field organization to identify growth opportunities, remove barriers to adoption, and execute programs that drive measurable business results.

This is a remote position based in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Strategy & Growth:

• Lead commercial strategy and business performance for Advanced Surgical portfolios.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies that increase adoption, utilization, and revenue.
• Translate market insights, customer needs, and performance data into actionable business plans.

Commercial Marketing & Sales Partnership:

• Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive portfolio growth and commercial execution.
• Develop programs, messaging, and tools that support customer engagement and field success.
• Align marketing priorities and customer targeting with business objectives.

Go-To-Market Execution and Product Launches:

• Lead end-to-end go-to-market strategy and execution, ensuring alignment across marketing, sales, clinical, product management, and commercial operations to drive successful product adoption and revenue growth.
• Drive cross-functional execution excellence, managing launch timelines, key milestones, resource coordination, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver launch excellence, accelerate adoption, and achieve growth targets.
• Own commercialization strategy and go-to-market execution for new and existing solutions.

Brand & Market Development:

• Lead portfolio positioning, value propositions, and customer-focused marketing strategies.
• Develop compelling clinical and commercial messaging that differentiates the portfolio in the market.
• Drive integrated marketing initiatives that increase awareness, adoption, and market penetration.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team.
• Collaborate across Sales, Product Strategy, Clinical, Finance, Regulatory, and Communications.
• Influence strategic decisions and represent the portfolio with senior leadership.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience within medical device, healthcare, or related healthcare markets.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience with a demonstrated track record of developing high-performing teams.
• 5+ years of demonstrated success leading commercial marketing strategies, portfolios, or business units.
• 5+ years of experience partnering directly with sales organizations and senior commercial leaders.

Additional Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of medical device commercialization and hospital-based selling environments.
• Demonstrated expertise in portfolio marketing, brand strategy, customer insights, and commercial positioning.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to convert business insights into action.
• Experience developing evidence-based marketing programs and integrated commercial campaigns.
• Proven leadership experience developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive influence skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Significant medical device experience strongly preferred.
• Experience within surgical technologies, operating room environments, minimally invasive surgery, capital equipment, and/or disposable device portfolios.
• Experience translating clinical evidence into commercial value propositions.
• Experience supporting recurring revenue business models.
• Experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership teams.

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 40% domestic travel.
• Travel may include customer visits, field rides, sales meetings, congresses, training programs, and internal leadership meetings.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple U.S. time zones.

Disclosure as required by applicable law, the annual salary range for this position is $165,000 to $200,000. The actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. The salary range is CONMED’s good faith belief at the time of this posting.
