Job Description

Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all

Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.

This role leads multi‑site physical security operations supporting manufacturing and non‑manufacturing environments and partners closely with Site Leadership, Facilities, Construction, EHS, IT, HR, Legal, and Operations to embed security into daily operations and expansion activities. As the primary decision authority for Taiwan physical security, the Senior Manager enforces compliance through audits, KPIs, and corrective actions; leads security incidents and investigations; and oversees site security leaders and contracted guard services to deliver stable, factory‑grade security operations at scale in one of Micron’s most critical manufacturing regions.

Primary location: Taiwan (Taichung preferred), with routine travel across Taiwan sites.

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute country‑level physical security operations across all Micron Taiwan sites, ensuring protection of people, facilities, assets, and intellectual property.
  • Serve as the senior in‑country physical security authority, accountable for operational security outcomes, risk posture, and incident response across manufacturing and office environments.
  • Execute Micron enterprise physical security standards locally, ensuring compliance with Taiwan laws, regulations, and site‑specific risk requirements.
  • Lead and standardize multi‑site security operations, including guard force and vendor management, access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion detection, and monitoring.
  • Establish and enforce vendor KPIs and SLAs; conduct audits, address performance gaps, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead physical security risk assessments, implement mitigation plans, and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Command physical security incident response and investigations; ensure timely escalation, accurate reporting, and root‑cause analysis.
  • Partner with Facilities, Construction, EHS, IT, HR, Legal, and Operations to integrate security into expansions, renovations, and capital projects, ensuring early engagement and design compliance.
  • Review, approve, or manage deviations to physical security standards in accordance with governance requirements.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with local law enforcement and external security partners.
  • Lead, coach, and develop site security leads, supervisors, coordinators, and extended workforce personnel to ensure readiness, continuity, and succession.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in security management, engineering, criminal justice, business, or a related field.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive physical security experience, including leadership of multi‑site operations and guard force or vendor management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or other high‑discipline, IP‑sensitive environments.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of physical security systems, including access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion detection, and incident management.
  • Proven ability to execute enterprise security standards within local regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to make decisions, enforce standards, and influence senior site stakeholders.
  • Fluent Mandarin (spoken and written); business‑level English required.
  • Willingness to maintain strong on‑site presence, travel across Taiwan sites, and support on‑call incident escalation as required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, data centers, or other IP‑critical industries.
  • Experience integrating physical security into factory construction, expansion, or major retrofit programs.
  • Familiarity with risk‑based security governance, audits, and compliance reporting.
  • Professional security certifications (e.g., ASIS CPP, PSP, PCI) preferred but not required.
