About the Job
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Performance Engineering who loves retail and has a passion for delivering best-in-class experiences for consumers and best-in-industry performance engineering platforms, AI Agents, and tools.
TheSenior Manager, PerformanceEngineeringwillbe responsible fordesigning and implementing AI enabledand agentic platforms and systems for performance, load and chaos testing for our e-Commerce and Retail systems in the cloud andon edgedevices. Weseekto reimagine a greenfield platform to measure performance and resilience of Levi's digital systems.
This role is LATAM based and will coordinate with and interact regularly withUS,India,and Latin America-based teams executing performance,loadand chaos testing.
The roleinvolvesdesigningand implementinginternal systems and adapting publicly available best-in-breed toolstomeasure performance and resilience across our enterprise.
These systems support work developed by squads in eCommerce and Retail systems forall global markets
About You
ExperiencedPerformanceEngineering leader with7+ years’ experiencetesting performance,loadand chaos for enterprise projects
7+ years of people leadership, including building and leading high-performing platform engineering teams (hiring, coaching, performance management), setting technical direction and delivery standards, and partnering with Product, Engineering, SRE/Operations and QE leaders to drive platform adoption, execution, and measurable outcomes
5+years experiencein cloud systems– Google Cloud Services, Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure
Subject matterexpertiseinK6,LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling,Gremlinand related systems
Exposure toDotComMonitorand Load View for front end performance testing
Deep understanding of web and site performance metrics (including PSI andCrUX) with the ability to evolve the metrics strategy over time—define what to measure, why it matters, and how to instrument, collect, and operationalize signals into narratives that enable leadership decision-making
2 years+experience using monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Splunk,Noibu, Dynatrace or similar systems
Strong development skills inlanguages such asC#and Java
Strong curiosity and exploration in the use of GenAI and Agentic AI to partner with human engineers in getting work done in better ways
Demonstratedexpertisein platform engineering and platform design, specifically in performance platforms
Proventrack recordof driving process improvements and implementing scalableperformancetesting solutions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to interpret monitoring and derive recommendations / actions.
Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies inPerformanceEngineering
Comprehensive understanding of Agile,DevOpsand Lean Softwareprinciples.
Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills
Required:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienceor equivalent;Mastersdegree preferredDemonstrated work experience designing and implementingperformance platformsand automationtools is acceptable in place of education.
