About Future Fund

At the Future Fund, we’re for future minds – like yours. The new investors and creators who thrive on different thinking and doing it together. Those who glimpse opportunity before it strikes and step up every day to grab it.

The Future Fund is Australia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, managing over $340 billion across seven public asset funds with the same purpose: growing Australia’s future. We are a global investor and work closely with world leading investment organisations to access the best investment ideas.

Where others see challenges, we see more interesting investment experiences. Every person, every skillset, every mindset is an asset. We’ve got every future generation to consider, yet our approach to investing is incredibly pure: we think about it deeply, and daily. Ours is a culture where great people grow the future together, with the rare ability to work collaboratively, think freely, and make a real difference.

Are you Futureminded? Let’s create what’s next.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role within our Performance & Analytics (P&A) function, responsible for leading the hands-on delivery of performance measurement, attribution and analytics across asset classes and Total Fund coverage.

You’ll lead a team of Managers and Analysts, providing operational leadership across BAU delivery, strategic initiatives, stakeholder requests and service provider outcomes, while ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and insight-driven.

Working in a collaborative leadership model alongside a peer Senior Manager and the Director, P&A, you’ll play a key role in shaping the evolution of the function — transitioning from traditional reporting toward a more insight-led, technology-enabled analytics capability, underpinned by automation and AI.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the delivery of accurate, timely and insightful performance measurement and attribution across asset classes and the Total Fund

  • Actively manage team priorities, resource management and delivery pipelines across BAU, initiatives and stakeholder requests

  • Embed governance into day-to-day workflows by ensuring controls, documentation and standards are consistently applied, evidenced and continuously improved.

  • Acting as a key relationship point for external providers, ensuring quality, accuracy and service expectations are met

  • Work directly with internal stakeholders to prioritise analytics requirements and translate performance outcomes into clear, decision-relevant insights

  • Support and review the design, testing and enhancement of analytics platforms and tools (e.g. performance and data systems), ensuring solutions are validated, controlled and fit for purpose

  • Driving the shift from report production to insight-led analytics, including performance storytelling and decision support

  • Leading the adoption of automation, scalable analytical solutions and AI-enabled ways of working across the function

  • Building team capability in advanced analytics, automation and AI, supporting practical application and sustainable delivery

About You

  • Extensive experience in investment performance measurement, attribution and analytics across multiple asset classes

  • Strong understanding of complex methodologies, including derivatives, overlays and unlisted investments

  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams in an institutional investment or superannuation environment

  • Strong stakeholder management capability, with the ability to translate technical outputs into clear insights

  • Experience supporting or leading analytics transformation, automation or technology-enabled change initiatives

  • Understanding of AI, automation and advanced analytics, with practical application in an analytical or investment environment

  • Experience working with performance and analytics platforms and data systems

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with attention to detail and outcomes

  • Leadership mindset with the ability to influence, coach and build capability across teams

  • A collaborative and solutions-focused approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation

Please note that the opportunity is open to Australian citizens only.
