Role and Responsibilities

The GBS Order Lifecyle Management Lead will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operational execution of Global Requisition to Receipt delivery across three global sites, with responsibility for meeting regional performance, service quality, and delivery expectations. This role provides single point leadership across handling of all purchasing activities, ensuring standardized, compliant, and efficient global service delivery. This role will lead a global team of professionals to deliver high-quality services to internal stakeholders across the globe.

The Order Lifecycle Management Lead oversees the end-to-end transactional and operational procurement processes for the procurement team, which include Purchase Requisition (PR) / Purchase Order and lifecycle management (PO) / Goods Receipt (GR) / Exceptions, Expedite, and Change Orders / Commodity Part Update / MRO item creation activities. They ensure that Copeland purchasing policies and controls are met and resolve discrepancies and exceptions. The Lead partners with various teams within procurement and enterprise leaders to develop data-driven insights focused on improving the overall procurement process.

The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, proven subject matter expertise of Order Lifecycle Management/Requisition to Receipt processes, and related technology knowledge to ensure that all processes including, purchasing, governance, and invoice to pay are efficient, strategic, and aligned with our goals.

Accountabilities

Global Order Lifecyle management Leadership & Value Case Realization

  • Build, lead, and develop a Global Order Lifecycle Management GBS organization driving operational stability during transition and scaling phases
  • Own and manage the GBS Order Lifecycle Management operating budget, including workforce, third‑party spend, and enablement investments, ensuring alignment to approved business cases, delivery of cost targets, and ongoing value realization
  • Foster a global culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and service excellence
  • Promote a culture of improvement, transparency and collaboration among site leads and business liaisons across geographies
  • Maintain active engagement across GBS locations with regular on‑site presence expected
  • Oversee the identification of trends in which process improvement and cost saving opportunities are available and work towards implementation of new measures
  • Responsible for system reporting and optimizing workflow and determining best practices for the Procurement information management system
  • Manage resources, people and processes efficiently to ensure the day-to-day administration of processes
  • Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals in a consistent, fair, ethical and objective manner to encourage continuous performance improvement

Global Service Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Own global delivery of all end-to-end requisition to receipt transactional and operational services within procurement GBS managing spend of $2B across direct and indirect categories
  • Ensure alignment to global policies, controls, and audit requirements, including segregation of duties and compliance with procurement and financial controls
  • Oversee financial reporting including daily, weekly and monthly reports of operational, financial performance and budget variances
  • Develop and ensure consistent performance against SLAs, KPIs, cost targets, and customer satisfaction goals
  • Lead operational governance, performance reviews, and issue resolution
  • Drive year-over-year improvements in efficiency, cost to serve, cycle time, and quality

Process Standardization, Digital Enablement, and Transformation

  • Drive scalable, compliant, and value focused outcomes across the end-to-end requisition to receipt lifecycle by partnering with Procurement, Finance, IT, and Enablement teams
  • Lead global process standardization, simplification, and automation initiatives
  • Drive adoption of digital, analytics, and AI‑enabled capabilities
  • Ensure adherence to standardized end to end process and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
  • Oversee end to end PR (purchase requisition) / PO (purchase order and lifecycle management) / GR (goods receipt) / Exceptions, Expedite and Change Orders / Commodity Part Update / MRO item creation activities in an automated/semi-automated work environment including, exception handling of PO’s not processed automatically including communication with external and internal stakeholders on holds
  • Partner with Global Process Owners (GPOs) and Business Functions to quantify and track benefits
  • Support commodity managers in collaborating with suppliers to identify continuous improvement initiatives

Strategic Partnership & Cross Functional Alignment

  • Serve as primary GBS interface for Order Lifecycle Management with Business Units, Supply Chain, Finance, and IT
  • Collaborate with functional leadership on strategic initiatives/alignment, investment needs, etc.
  • Support enterprise procurement strategies through scalable GBS execution
  • Partner with IT, Finance and Procurement Enablement teams on requisition to receipt platforms and tools (e.g., Procure to Pay solutions)
  • Partner with Procurement for vendor performance issue resolution and ensure outstanding actions are completed on a timely basis
  • Evaluate requests to deviate from standard processes, and identify opportunities for global alignment

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Procurement Operations, Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Source-to-Pay (S2P), Requisition-to-Receipt (R2R), Shared Services, or Global Business Services environments.
  • 8+ years of direct experience managing end-to-end Order Lifecycle Management, Requisition-to-Receipt, Purchase Order Management, Purchasing Operations, or Procure-to-Pay processes.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including managing large, geographically dispersed teams and developing leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience leading procurement operations within a global shared services, GBS, SSC, or center-led operating model.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale process transformation, process standardization, automation, continuous improvement, and digital enablement initiatives.
  • Experience managing operational budgets, service delivery metrics, and business case realization.
  • Experience working with enterprise procurement and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or equivalent Procure-to-Pay technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of overall experience, including leadership of global procurement operations in a multinational organization.
  • Experience supporting annual procurement spend exceeding $1B+ in direct and indirect categories.
  • Experience managing multi-site global operations and leading teams across multiple regions.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement governance, internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit standards.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, PMP, or other process improvement certifications preferred.
  • Experience driving adoption of analytics, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and workflow optimization tools within procurement operations.
