Senior Manager or Director of International Accounting

We're looking for a sharp, global-minded accounting leader to own international close, audits, controls, and cross-border compliance. You'll streamline processes, partner with tax and treasury, support new‑market expansion, and bring clear financial insights to senior leadership. Ideal candidates have multinational or direct‑sales experience, strong people leadership, and a passion for accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing effective strategies for managing the company's finances in our international markets.
• Overseeing month-end close for our international markets, and year-end audits, working with external auditors and local finance teams/consultants/auditors.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring financial personnel.
• Supporting group and local financial audits to ensure timely and effective completion.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and efficient processes (like automation) for international financial reporting.
• Collaborating with the tax team to ensure that the company is minimizing tax exposure in the international markets.
• Collaborating with the treasury team in their management of cash flows.
• Provide financial insights to senior management, support budgeting/forecasting, and align accounting strategy with business objectives.
• Keeping interdepartmental projects on schedule, following up on delegated tasks, and responding to executive inquiries.
• Traveling periodically to meet with foreign advisors to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Supporting/addressing the financial areas of expansion into new markets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a closely related field required.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree strongly preferred.
• Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification strongly preferred.
• 8+ years' experience.
• International Accounting experience in a multi-national company preferred.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• Experience with Direct Sales, MLM, or Network Marketing industry strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated track record in people development and management required.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
