Job Description

This position will serve as the lead for data and information for major and priority projects in the division. The majority of projects will be related to facilities including refurbishments and construction, building equipment and systems upgrades and installations, space allocation and work unit relocations. The projects will vary in size and scope from multi-million dollar building refurbishments to office space/work unit upgrades. Projects may also include administrative and operational projects to support all areas of the division.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
- Track the progress and planning of all major and priority projects in a digital format/program that is accessible to all team members and executive staff.
- Provide regularly scheduled update reports on all projects.
- Lead team members on new project planning and revising plans for existing projects.
- Analyze projects progress to identify and anticipate delays and stall points.
- Resolve project delays by coordinating the work of team members.
- Resolve project delays by working with budget and contracting units, vendors, and other city agencies.
- Maintain files for both current and completed projects.
- Manage space requests submission program including tracking submissions through the approval process to project completion.
- Assist project leads in preparing needs estimates and requests for funding, contract services, and staffing.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Motivated project manager with excellent tracking and reporting skills
- Experience working with projects tracking systems
- A team leader that can coordinate efforts to resolve problems/delays
- Experience working with NYC government purchasing, contracts, and budgets
- Experience working with construction and trades vendors
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work well with diverse teams and commitment to advancing equity
- Fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience working for a New York City government agency is a strong plus

- A BA degree in (any major)
- 18 months of full-time professional experience related to the work performed
- Experience or education in public and urban policy
- Experience in projects tracking, reporting, and analysis
