Senior Manager of Product Development

Pixi Inc. London, England, United Kingdom (On-site)

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Manager of Product Development to lead the end-to-end development of innovative products from concept through launch. This role requires cross-functional collaboration with design, supply chain and sales to ensure products meet market, retailer and brand positioning within strategic timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define product concepts aligned with brand positioning and customer demand.
  • Lead cross-functional teams (design, regulatory, supply chain) through each development phase.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines and critical paths.
  • Ensure all milestones are met within the product budget and schedule.
  • Oversee formulation development in partnership with external labs.
  • Evaluate and approve product samples, textures, scents, and efficacy.
  • Collaborate on packaging design, material selection, and compatibility testing
  • Provide strategic recommendations and source packaging and components to meet brand standards and project timelines.
  • Ensure products meet global regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EU Cosmetics Regulation).
  • Oversee claims substantiation and safety testing (e.g., dermatological tests).
  • Coordinate with regulatory to finalize product labelling and INCI lists.
  • Work with external procurement to source ingredients and components cost-effectively.
  • Support the creation of internal and external launch materials.
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accuracy and alignment across product development and manufacturing processes.
  • Provide assets to support product training and insights to sales and education teams.
  • Partner on launch execution and post-launch performance review.
  • Incorporate sustainable ingredients, packaging, and production practices.
  • Assist in the planning, sourcing, and execution of marketing campaigns, including influencer partnerships, retail promotions, and branded merchandise (SWAG)
  • Negotiate cost of goods (COGs) in alignment with product budgets to ensure profitability and cost efficiency
  • Stay updated on new technologies, raw materials, and trends in clean and ethical beauty.
  • Contribute to the global expansion of sister brand POPbeauty by supporting new product development (NPD) and brand restage initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product development within the skincare or color cosmetics industry
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with the ability to work quickly and accurately; familiarity with PowerPoint and graphic design programs is a plus
  • Highly organized multitasker with a strong execution focus and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Quick to learn new systems, processes, and product lines
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail - Consistently ensure accuracy and quality across all facets of work, including data entry, product specifications, BOM documentation, and packaging reviews.
  • Proven ability to catch discrepancies early, maintain consistency across cross-functional deliverables, and uphold brand standards in high-paced, deadline-driven environments.
