We are partnering confidentially with a highly respected, New York-based global retail leader on a high-impact hybrid opportunity based in New York City.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly visible merchandising and analytics leadership team at the intersection of pricing strategy, advanced analytics, lifecycle margin optimization, and team leadership The organization is seeking a strategic pricing leader who can help shape best-in-class promotional, permanent, and clearance pricing strategies across the business.

This role is ideal for a strong analytical and commercially minded leader who thrives in fast-paced retail environments and enjoys balancing long-term strategy with hands-on execution and team development.

What You’ll Own

  • Lead the company’s pricing strategy across promotional, permanent, and clearance merchandise
  • Develop and manage pricing KPIs and lifecycle margin performance metrics
  • Drive adoption and growth of regular price optimization initiatives
  • Leverage advanced analytics including elasticity, competitive insights, and market share data
  • Lead testing strategies to validate pricing hypotheses and optimize outcomes
  • Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, planning, finance, and leadership teams
  • Identify process and technology enhancements to improve pricing capabilities
  • Lead teammates responsible for price execution accuracy and operational delivery
  • Build strategic staffing, succession, and development plans for the team

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • 7–10 years of corporate retail experience
  • Strong experience in pricing, merchandising, planning, or merchandising services
  • Advanced analytical capabilities and ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI/reporting platforms
  • SQL and/or Python knowledge strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption of strategic initiatives
  • Strong commercial acumen and customer-facing pricing instincts
