The Senior Manager of Nursing Admissions, under the general direction of the Vice President of Enrollment Services, is responsible for leading recruitment, admissions outreach, and enrollment initiatives for nursing programs and selected programs within the School of Nursing and Health Sciences. This position provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the prospective student experience from initial inquiry through enrollment and program start.

The Senior Manager of Nursing Admissions is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies designed to achieve enrollment growth goals while ensuring a high-quality and student-centered admissions experience. The incumbent will oversee and actively participate in all aspects of nursing admissions recruitment, including inquiry management, proactive communication with prospective students via telephone, email, and text, applicant engagement, and event strategy and execution.

This position supervises Admissions Counselor staff and is responsible for coaching, training, performance management, and recruitment-related productivity oversight. The Senior Manager of Nursing Admissions works collaboratively with nursing leadership, faculty, marketing, enrollment operations, partnership development, and academic stakeholders to support recruitment initiatives, enhance program visibility, and strengthen community and healthcare partnerships.

The Senior Manager of Nursing Admissions serves as a key representative of the University and is expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of nursing and health sciences programs, admissions requirements, enrollment trends, and prospective student needs in a highly competitive healthcare education environment.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 annualized exempt position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Experience: Eight to ten years of experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, or enrollment management, with significant experience supporting nursing or healthcare-related programs. Prior supervisory experience required.

Certifications, Licenses, etc.: None.

Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce or similar customer relationship management systems, Anthology Student or comparable student information systems, and integrated database systems.

• Demonstrated expertise in nursing and healthcare education recruitment strategies and enrollment management practices.

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management.

• Excellent customer service commitment with the ability to work effectively with prospective students, faculty, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to develop and implement strategic recruitment initiatives and assess effectiveness through data-informed decision making.

• Experience developing collaborative relationships with academic leadership, healthcare organizations, and community partners.

• Lead and manage recruitment and admissions initiatives for nursing programs and designated School of Nursing and Health Sciences programs in support of enrollment growth goals.

• Maintain full ownership of the prospective student journey from inquiry through enrollment and program start, ensuring a responsive, student-centered admissions experience.

• Supervise Admissions Counselor staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.

• Monitor staff productivity and effectiveness through regular communication reviews, appointment observations, and performance tracking.

• Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans designed to increase awareness, engagement, and enrollment for nursing programs.

• Manage inquiries and proactively engage prospective students through telephone, email, text messaging, virtual appointments, and campus visits.

• Provide admissions counseling and customer service support to prospective students throughout all stages of the admissions process.

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of nursing and health sciences program offerings, admissions requirements, prerequisite pathways, and career outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with nursing deans, program directors, faculty, marketing, enrollment operations, and other University stakeholders to support recruitment and enrollment initiatives.

• Plan, organize, and execute recruitment events including open houses, webinars, campus tours, information sessions, college fairs, community outreach activities, and healthcare partnership events.

• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations, community colleges, educational partners, and community organizations to strengthen recruitment pipelines and program visibility.

• Assist in the development and execution of communication and outreach strategies for prospective and admitted students.

• Utilize CRM and enrollment systems to track communications, manage applicant pipelines, maintain accurate records, and support reporting needs.

• Analyze recruitment and enrollment trends and provide enrollment projections and recommendations to leadership.

• Support lead generation initiatives in collaboration with marketing and partnership development teams.

• Travel locally and regionally to support recruitment, partnership, and outreach activities.

• Perform other related tasks, duties, and responsibilities as required, assigned, or directed.

Contact Responsibility:

Internal: Interacts with the Vice President of Enrollment Services to receive direction and review work results. Works closely with colleagues across multiple departments including Academic Deans, Program Directors, Faculty, Marketing, Enrollment Operations, Partnership Development, Human Resources, and other University stakeholders to support student success and enrollment goals.

External: Engages with prospective students, applicants, families, healthcare organizations, community colleges, and community partners to provide guidance, strengthen recruitment partnerships, and enhance program visibility throughout the Phoenix metro area and surrounding regions.

Primary Work Location, Hours & Travel Requirements:

Office Location: Phoenix Campus - 3110 N Central Ave Suite G-125, Phoenix, AZ 85012.

Work Hours: Standard office hours with ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Travel: Up to 25% of the time.
